Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Brivo is searching for a talented and experienced Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our AI Research & Development team. In this position, you will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of cutting-edge artificial intelligence products. Your responsibilities will involve designing and constructing sophisticated machine learning models, as well as refining and updating existing systems. To thrive in this position, you must possess strong skills in statistics and programming, as well as a deep understanding of data science and software engineering principles. For this role, we are seeking candidates that are open to traveling to our Bethesda, MD office 1-2 times a year.

In this role you are expected to:

• Design, develop, and maintain ML feature pipelines

• Research and implement appropriate ML algorithms and tools

• Run machine learning tests and experiments

• Perform statistical analysis and fine-tuning using test results

• Train and retrain ML systems when necessary

• Keep abreast of developments in the field

About the Team

The AI Research and Development team is a new team leading Brivo's efforts in leveraging artificial intelligence to advance the state of the art in physical security, access control, and PropTech.

About You

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer

• 3+ years of experience as an ML Engineer, Data Engineer, or Data Scientist

• Experience developing ML feature pipelines based on data from production data stores

• Understanding of data structures, data modeling, and software architecture

• Experience writing robust code in Python

• Strong experience with SQL, PostgreSQL, or Snowflake

• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as Keras or PyTorch and libraries such as sklearn, numpy, and pandas

• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, communication skills, and the ability to work in a team environment

Optional experience to make you stand out:

• Master's degree in computer science preferably with AI specialization or mathematics

• Experience developing ML feature pipelines based on data from production data stores

• Experience working with non-engineering teams to understand requirements and how they can be quantified as ML model tests

The total compensation package for this full-time position includes a salary range of $125,000 - $190,000. Individual compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, training, and market conditions.
