KPMG is currently seeking a Senior in Integration & Separation for our Deal Advisory practice.


  • Perform domestic and global post-deal HR integrations with respect to mergers, acquisitions, spin-offs, carve-outs, and other similar transactions for Fortune 1000, middle market companies and private equity investors

  • Work with KPMG's cross-functional integration and separation teams on the HR portion of integration engagements, including but not limited to HR and Human Capital strategy, HR service delivery and HR operations, people-related compliance, compensation and benefits, organization design and execution, talent management and selection, transaction onboarding, and change management

  • Assist with identifying HR risk exposure in HR due diligence

  • Contribute to the engagement process from start to finish, including owning deliverables and work streams and the creation and coordination of client-ready deliverables with KPMG's integration and separation teams

  • Assist with communication of results to the clients


  • A minimum of two years' experience in HR consulting with a focus on human capital, human resources, organization design, talent selection and leadership assessments, talent management or change management

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college

  • Highly motivated, self-starter, team player, with positive attitude, strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Experience in project management including planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing staff, clients, or partners towards the successful completion of a project

  • Travel may be up to 80-100%; Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

Provide expert advice and consultation on all human resources principles, concepts, regulations, practices, and analytical methods and techniques. Serve as an expert advisor for all HR programs that support a district-wide customer base. Provide labor and employee relations support to other lines of business as assigned. Learn more about this agency Responsibilities As a Human Resources Specialist, you will: * Serve as the lead labor and employee relations expert for the district office. Provide expert and authoritative advice and guidance to managers on issues such as conduct and performance problems, quality of work life issues and administration of the collective bargaining agreement. Conduct investigations regarding facts and circumstances arising from labor and employee relations issues; research applicable statutes and regulations and propose options and recommendations to managers on how to resolve issues. * Serve as a member/advisor to District managements teams such as the Senior Management Group, People Committee or Human Resources Committee, etc. Serve as the focal point for the assigned district and provide comprehensive Human Capital advisory services to the management team to help address issues such as addressing skills gaps, position management, changes in work process, field office closures/moves, awards, etc. Work closely with the Reasonable Accommodations Coordinator to address accommodation issues within the assigned district. * Participate in policy development in Human Resources programs. Develop appropriate interventions for management on significant human resources issues and concerns. Develop strategic goals for change (e.g., conduct, organizational needs assessments, determine organizational readiness for change, market organizational awareness, and lead change initiatives) that are aligned with the district's strategy. * Make presentations and give briefings on human resources and labor- management relations subjects, policies, and initiatives at Field Office and Senior Management Group (SMG) meetings. Serve on the national training cadre as an instructor and SME for Human Capital courses such as Leading Training Teams, Human Capital Fundamentals, etc. Travel Required Occasional travel - Travel occasionally to attend conferences and training.
