This position will be that of Analyst, Senior Analyst or Specialty Analyst commensurate with experience.

As a Long-Term Disability Analyst, your primary role is to investigate claims to determine if the insured person qualifies for long-term benefits and work with them on a treatment plan to get them back to work as soon as responsibly possible. In this role, you'll support our mission of helping our customers rebuild their lives after an unexpected event or illness happens. You must comply with corporate claims standards, policies and procedures, and statutory, regulatory and ethics requirements.

  • Location: 5600 West American Blvd- Bloomington, MN 55437
  • Start Date: June 24th, 2019
  • Training Hours: 8am 4:30pm (Possibly 2 weeks of travel)
  • Post Training Hours: Must have the ability to work 40 hours a week, plus overtime within core business hours of 8:30AM - 5:00PM / M-F

This position will be preferably in office, but remote could be considered for claims experienced candidates.

To be considered remote -Must have direct experience with disability claim management and a proven successful history of working in a remote setting.

As a condition of employment, you will be required to successfully complete a multi-week New Hire Training Course and, upon completion, obtain a passing score on the final course assessment. Continued employment with The Hartford is contingent upon you successfully passing the exam(s) within 30 business days from the completion of the New Hire Training.

Scheduling is done using block scheduling which provides the employee a consistent, repeating schedule every two weeks. We also provide some flexibility in schedules if needed for school attendance. DUTIES Major job functions include performing nursing tasks to assure resident needs are met. This includes: monitoring resident needs, condition and care; administering medications and treatments as ordered by the physician; orders and receives medications from the pharmacy; admits and discharges residents; oversees TMA/NAR staff; ensures narcotic policy and procedures are followed; reports changes of condition to RN/Supervisor and physician as delegated; monitors for side effects of medication and reports prn; ensures care plans are being followed. In addition, the LPN will transcribe and execute physician orders; complete documentation as required; completes fall reporting; reports any bruises, skin tears and abuse/neglect; gives report to nursing staff; follows and upholds Resident Bill of Rights and facility policies and procedures; maintains confidentiality and follows HIPAA requirements, etc. Provides excellent customer service and communication to all residents/families/visitors/MD's/ coworkers, etc. QUALIFICATIONS This position requires LPN licensure with the MN Board of Nursing.
