Position is responsible for planning, monitoring and coordinate international shipments for offshore drilling rigs and supply bases. The Senior Logistics Planner is responsible for efficient, successful, and cost-effective movement of material via air, ocean or ground shipments in close collaboration with Operations and in compliance with internal policies and procedures and external global trade compliance. This will include the running of project logistics and specialized material moves
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent focused experience.
Min. 7 years of experience in supply chain, specifically logistics and transportation. Experience from 3PL will be beneficial but not required.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Good at working with tight deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite application, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
Work structured and with the ability to resolve complex issues.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to find and analyze data.
Knowledge of ERP and procurement systems.
You are confident navigating in complex and dynamic organizations
You have a strong self-drive dedication and pro-active approach
A competence of operating globally is preferred to leverage knowledge and have experience within different countries and jurisdiction
You thrive in a busy environment managing multiple activities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Coordinate assigned domestic air and ocean operational and/or project shipments with appointed third- party logistics providers (3PL) including the coordinating of weekly meetings
Plan all tasks in a safe and secure way to safeguard no injuries on personnel or equipment
Act according to Noble's set of core values
Monitor shipments at the docks, airports, or other locations when necessary to ensure timely and compliant departure/ arrival / delivery
Planning and executing logistics globally, meeting KPIs, ensuring complete shipments in Nobles ERP, providing correct and sufficient documentation on all levels
Lead new country set up in coordination with Mobilization team.
Lead Projects for logistics, including negotiation of rates, execution of shipment in accordance to the logistics plan and reporting.
Lead the movement of specialized shipments that fall outside of regular activity.
Meet set objectives and KPI's for the team and individually
Ensure transport costs are competitive in relations with local market level and align with global agreements
Engage proactively with stakeholders ensuring a supportive and efficient logistics operation
Identify and address cost-saving opportunities as well as process improvement optimization
Resolve material OS&D's as required
Communicate effectively with regional counterparts and internal stakeholders regarding status of air and ocean shipments.
Review operations request for upgrades, downgrades, cancellations, etc.
Expedite and coordinate emergency "rig down", "urgent airfreight', and "direct airfreight" orders from seller to packer and / or port of export and ultimately confirming delivery to destination including milestone updates throughout.
Assist in maintaining shipping profiles (SP), and Standard Operating and Procedures (SOP)
Knowledge and lead adherence of the trade compliance rules, regulations and laws, and be involved with Trade Compliance Team
Review and approval of freight quotes and invoices issued by service providers and ensure compliance to agreed tariffs,
Ability to participate in Supply Chain Logistics weekend On-Call rotation.
Provide guidance to Logistics Planners where required.
