Senior Logistics Engineering Manager

Griffon Aerospace is developing the Army's next generation tactical Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS). We are looking for a Senior Logistics Engineering Manager to join our rapidly growing team in Huntsville, Alabama. As Senior Logistics Engineering Manager, you'll play a critical role in applying your knowledge and experience with Army products and publications to ensure conformance with applicable Military Standards and Army Regulations. Your goal will be to establish integrated product support elements for Army UAS using standard principles, theories, concepts, and techniques to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems. Position must be able to work independently and will have responsibility to develop provisioning information and logistics Contract Data Requirement Lists (CDRLs). This will require a breadth of understanding of both military logistics, program of record acquisition, and a deep appreciation for details.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Manage all program phases, from conceptualization through completion, ensuring quality, business, and financial objectives are met.

• Develop and coordinate logistics CDRL and provisioning efforts.

• Work closely with engineering to establish design concepts, criteria, and engineering efforts for research, development, testing, and integration.

• Act as the primary contact for Logistics/Sustainment program issues, interacting with internal and external representatives to resolve technical and scheduling issues.

• Influence and coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, and technical specifications, and actively participate in contract acquisitions, negotiations, and modifications.

• Serve as the primary customer contact for Logistics/Sustainment program activities, conducting Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and program review sessions with customers.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

• Requires a degree in engineering, science, or a related technical field as well as 8+ years of progressively complex program or logistics administration experience with at least three of those years managing. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.

• Proficient in Provisioning Programs such as PowerLogJ, etc.

• Knowledge and experience in establishing Contractor Logistics Support (CLS)

• Experience in MIL-STD-1388-2B/GEIA-STD-0007 provisioning technical documentation review and development.

• Strong communication, leadership, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required to enable an effective interface with other departments, all levels of management, professional and support staff, customers, potential customers, and government representatives.

• Customer focused, must be able to work on a self-initiated basis and in a team environment, and able to work extended hours and travel as required.

• Experience supporting other U.S. Army Logistics events such as Log Demo, Material Fielding Plans, Life Cycle Sustainment Plans, Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Plans and Level of Repair Analysis (LORA).

• Willing to travel domestically for flight test and demonstration activities.

• Security Clearance: Secret

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

• Experience with U.S. Army or DOD program offices and program of records is desired.

• Experience as an Army Aviation (Rotary-Wing or UAS) Maintainer or 151A Army Warrant Officer

• Experience with UAS larger than 55 pounds.
