This position offers an opportunity for the right candidate to join our team as a Senior Logistics Analyst you will have the opportunity to use analytical methods and a variety of tools to understand, predict, improve and/or control Logistics operations and processes. You will be responsible for data management, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing recommendations that support Logistics operations. You will solves problems by considering courses of action within the framework of organization goals and standards. Mentor and guide Logistics Analysts in daily work tasks. Must be a self-starter, detail oriented, able to support and lead multiple projects, possess excellent communication skills, work well with a team, interact with multiple levels and functions within the Logistics organization, and able to manage vendor/business relationships. Functions include complex spreadsheet analysis of critical 3PL W&D performance data and expediting critical and time-sensitive shipments.

The role of the Senior Logistics Analyst includes:

  • Responsible for the creation of Maintenance Action Messages (MAMs) for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers.
  • Responsible for the creation of Supply Action Messages (SAMs) for FMS customers.
  • Should be familiar with using Sharepoint and will be required to upload their MAMs and SAMs onto that site.
  • Be able to take MAMs, SAMs, Safety of Use Messages, and Ground Precautionary Action Messages from the Sharepoint site and sending those to FMS customers.

Requirements

A High school diploma or equivalent, with 10 years of specialized FMS experience; or,

A Master's degree in a specialized field plus a minimum of 1 year of applicable experience; or,

A Bachelor's degree in the specialized field plus 7 years of applicable experience; or, a bachelor's degree in any field with a minimum of 9 years of specialized experience

Candidate must be able to:

  • Work with less supervision and on more complex assignments than the Logistics Analyst position and prioritizes and executes tasks.
  • Craft formal written documentation from scratch
  • Should be experienced dealing with various software products including Microsoft Office (including Excel, Work, Powerpoint), and Adobe.
  • Communicate clearly via written and verbal methods to both technical and leadership audiences
  • Communicate status of team efforts to individuals at all organizational levels
  • Propose operational, technical, or process changes to improve task efficiency
  • Work independently to acquire and maintain technical skills for professional development
