Senior Living Safety Security Coordinator

Shift: Night

Job Summary

This position provides building and grounds safety and security, as assigned, in a caring, safe and efficient manner and is responsible to perform the following according to location standards and procedures.

Performs regular visual observation of entrances, parking lots, buildings and other areas to ensure it is secure, well lighted, in good condition, free of damage and safe. Ensures the safety and protection of residents, guests and employees by following established policy and procedure.

Respond to and assist with emergency situations, and urgent calls to ensure safety and protection of residents, visitors and employees. Provide first respondent care to all emergencies. Provides First Aid and CPR as necessary. Documents all completed work and tests performed.

Qualifications

One to two years prior experience in law enforcement/security management and/or military security experience. Must be 18 years of age.

Ability to communicate and comprehend; ability to make independent decisions and function quickly and correctly in emergency situations.

VIEW JOBS 11/19/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-17T00:00 Position Summary Perform a wide variety of professional support work related to Employee/Labor Relations; review and analyze matters pertaining to discipline, conflict resolution and the grievance/arbitration process; advise and make recommendations to City departments and divisions regarding the appropriate administration of City policies, procedures, rules, regulations and union contract compliance; analyze and review correspondence such as letters of instruction, notices of investigation and pre-determination notices; prepare and present arguments for grievances; provide technical assistance to the Division Manager over Employee Relations in the implementation of labor and employee relations programs. Job descriptions are intended to present a general list of tasks/duties performed by employees within this job classification. Minimum Education, Experience And Additional Requirements Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in human resources, labor relations, industrial relations, public administration, business administration or a related field, plus six (6) years professional human resources to include a combination of professional experience in at least three (3) of the following specialty areas: grievance hearings and arbitration, experience with collective bargaining agreements and their implementation and interpretation, labor relations and/or employment compliance to include three (3) years of direct supervisory experience. Experience in union contract negotiations preferred. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Possession of a Driver's License or the ability to obtain by date of hire. Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire.
