Senior Linux Systems Administrator

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Linux Systems Administrator for an Information technology government-contractor in San Diego, CA . The Senior Linux Systems Administrator will operate in technical and administrative support in all areas of the government's technical program. Responsibilities for the Senior Linux Systems Administrator: • Develop and monitor an organization's LAN/WAN and internet systems of a network • Ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability • Monitor and test web site performance • Assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software • Administer network security measures Qualifications for the Senior Linux Systems Administrator: • 4-6 years of system administration experience • Extensive Linux experience • Prior experience working with LAN/WAN and internet systems • Security Certification required • BA/S in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related field Compensation/Benefits for the Senior Linux Systems Administrator: • Salary Range: $110,000 - $165,000 depending on experience • Comprehensive benefit package; Cigna Medical, Cigna Dental, Vision, 401k w/ ADP, PTO, Sick Leave as required by law, paid holidays This job opens for applications on 2/7/2025.
