This position will report to Head of US Legal and will be located in Chandler, AZ. ASML's worldwide Legal Department consists of several attorneys, supported by paralegals and contract managers. We are a close knit group of highly empowered, business oriented lawyers with broad responsibilities who enjoy working together.
Be a counselor and trusted partner to HR.
Assist HR in managing employment-related agency complaints (including EEOC, DOL, OSHA and related state agencies).
Develop a deep understanding of ASML's business, proactively identify areas of employment-related exposure and propose business-oriented solutions on how to eliminate or mitigate that exposure.
Work with HR to build and implement scalable, world-class employment policies and programs that balance legal risk with business impact.
Be the legal point of contact for employee related litigation, including discovery.
Collaborate HR and other stakeholders on projects to sustain and enhance employment law compliance.
Work with HR in conducting internal investigations and audits of employment-related claims and compliance.
Work closely with outside counsel to manage risk and ensure that internal clients and stakeholders receive effective, business-focused employment law support.
Provide day to day advice to HR on a broad range of employment issues.
Experience & Education
At least 8 -12 years of employment law experience at a highly respected law firm and/or in-house corporate environment.
Substantive knowledge of employment laws.
Prefer candidates with exposure in international business and high technology environments.
