Looking for a senior-level leave of absence position in a fun team environment?At Trüpp, we believe in harnessing the power of our collective team—valuing the unique talents, strengths, and even quirky traits of each of our employees.The Senior Leave Management Specialist will focus on leave administration for Trüpp clients utilizing outsourced leave of absence (LOA) services to support their employees located throughout the U.S. This position will assess, adjudicate, track, and monitor LOA claims. All aspects of employee leaves will be monitored and aligned as needed to ensure compliance with client policies, federal, state, and local leave regulations. They will lead the onboarding process for new integrating new clients, assist in training and providing guidance to Leave Administration Specialists and will be the primary contact for the department upon the Director of Leave Administration’s absence.Successful candidates will: thrive in a small energetic team environment; have a proven ability to excel at detail-oriented tasks; capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; have expert knowledge of federal and state leave and paid leave programs; demonstrate exceptional customer service; stay organized in the midst of changing priorities; and consistently deliver quality work.The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00 to $75,000.00.WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Serves as a primary point of contact for LOA questions, concerns, and challenges for clients and their employees.
  • Lead and attend all new client onboarding meetings to successfully onboard and integrate new LOA clients using established tools and processes, including set-up of templates and research on state-specific leave laws.
  • Facilitate the Leave Team’s meetings, client meetings, and act as the leave team subject matter expert.
  • Work with the Leave Administration Manager to update department training documents and train new leave team employees.
  • Serve as a backup to the Director of Leave Administration when they are out of the office.
  • Manage and process LOAs including, but not limited to, FMLA, state and local non-FMLA medical and personal leaves for employees located across the United States.
  • Facilitate more complex leave cases and assist Leave Administration Specialists with LOA questions.
  • Engage in the interactive process under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), as needed, and provide tracking and administration of ADA accommodations in place.
  • Ensure requests are responded to in a timely manner and that leaves are managed in accordance with client policies and are in compliance with all federal, state & local leave laws.
  • Assist employees in returning to work and receiving appropriate benefits according to organizational policies and legal regulations.
  • Inform client managers/HR of employee status to assist them in maintaining productivity and advise them on the appropriate handling of employees on leave.
  • Authorize return-to-work using physician documentation, departmental ability to comply with restrictions, and knowledge of the physical requirements of the existing job or alternative job.
  • Utilize leave of absence tracking system to manage leaves and keep information current for client visibility.
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure Trüpp’s tools, systems, and processes are effectively utilized and understood.

WHAT’S GOT YOU HERE
  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Management or other related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Have 3-5 years’ of related job experience.
  • Working knowledge of multi-state leave of absence laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrate effective leadership qualities and provide guidance to other Leave Team members.
