Senior Lease Operator
Gather and report production on assigned wells and report gauge readings, downtime and other pertinent well information to district office
Perform lease maintenance, such as minor surface pump and production equipment repairs and adjustments; trim weeds, clean up trash, etc.; greasing pumping units, service lease equipment, pack wells etc.
Note problems and/or recommend courses of action to supervisor in order to decrease costs and increase production
Assist in witnessing meter calibrations; monitor rates and pressures on injection and disposal wells and make necessary adjustments; monitor chemical use and inspect wells to maximize production
Monitor pump off controllers, look for leaks and lost production
Perform work in a manner that ensures the secure and environmentally safe operation of all wells and leases for which pumper is responsible
Offer guidance and assistant other lease operators if needed
Conduct other tasks as required by supervisor which are unique to the assigned geographic area
Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited state-certified program
Must possess a current, valid driver's license and the ability to meet and maintain all eligibility requirements to drive a company vehicle and have a good, clean driving record
Must have a minimum of 10 years of oil/gas industry related experience with at least 4 years of pumping experience
Must have an interest in gaining knowledge of engineering principles and an understanding of subsurface and surface equipment and operations
Must be able to perform simple mathematic calculations, have good mechanical aptitude, good writing skills and have a good safety and driving record
Must have prior work experience utilizing PC-based computer applications
Must be able to work a flexible schedule work will include Saturdays, Sundays and some holidays and can be changed at any time
Must be able to be available on-call 24/7 in case of emergency
Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds
Must be willing and able to drive a car for extended period of time
