Overview

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Senior Learning Consultant reporting to the Director of Talent Management. The AHS Talent Management team is a group of leadership, learning, and organizational development specialists partnering to develop and deliver talent strategies that support AHS's system-wide goals.

Responsibilities

Consultant is a subject matter expert that acts autonomously within the guidelines set forth by the Director and will identify, manage and implement various initiatives. Through consulting and partnering the Learning Consultant will assess, develop, and deliver solutions to be leveraged across the system. Responsibilities include:

  • Function as the lead Instructional designer

  • Leverage knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design to analyze needs, design, develop and implement modern blended learning solutions aligned with business priorities with an emphasis on new development and redesign

  • Build curriculum to support new and existing programs to include Onboarding and Orientation

  • Determine when to create and utilize microlearning or full modular content

  • Collaborate with HR colleagues and business stakeholders to determine needs

  • Ensure programs align with organizational goals, review training and related materials, select best delivery format, and conduct train-the-trainer sessions as applicable

  • Interact with other content development owners and subject matter experts to ensure that materials achieve the desired learning objectives

  • Identify learning objectives, performance outcomes, and evaluative strategies to deliver instruction

  • Create effective assessments that can demonstrate learner mastery leveraging the Kirkpatrick methodology

  • Be the voice of the learner, ensuring that their needs are at the forefront of content efforts and assist TM team to iterate and improve content offering

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational/Instructional Technology, or related discipline.

  • 5+ years of relevant professional level experience designing custom instructional and other solutions (e.g. program content, leader and participant materials, exercises, etc.)

  • Demonstrates a strong proficiency with authoring tools (e.g. Captivate, iSpring, Storyline, etc.)

  • Knowledge of various learning technologies including Learning & Content Management Systems, eLearning tools, mobile enabled learning, and virtual training (distance learning) platforms (Skype for Business)

  • Knowledge of measurement and evaluation methodology and ability to design systems to measure the impact of tools, processes, and learning interventions

  • Exceptional consulting and communication skills including strong facilitation and clear and precise writing

  • Experience working with LMS platforms

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree

  • Previous experience in healthcare industry

  • Experience in developing infographics, interactive simulation, storyboards

  • Experience with SuccessFactors

  • Industry designation e.g. CPLP, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP,

As a Risk Engineering Consultant at The Hartford, your primary role will be to protect the future of and ensure profitability for The Hartford, its business partners and agents through timely delivery of industry leading safety and risk management solutions. Risk Engineering Consultants provide underwriters with risk engineering services to assist them in the selection and pricing of new business opportunities to provide guidance on exposures and controls for new or unusual classes of business. This position can be hired at various levels depending on background and experience. Responsibilities: * Prepare for and conduct presentations to serviced accounts. The nature of the presentations can be sales (i.e.) RMS system and/or technical training related. * Based on knowledge of the insured's business activities and needs, make recommendations that will assist the insured's management to correct and prevent the potential for future financial loss. * Work with regional office Risk Engineering Lead/Primary Mentor and assist in all levels of training for new and experienced hires. This can include conducting report and file reviews, coaching, etc. * Active participation in special projects that could be technical in nature (i.e.) Biotech, Technology, Industry Expertise, etc. and work to become a Subject Matter Expert in one technical discipline. * Active participation in the RMS process - meeting with insured's, making presentations, working with claims and underwriting, etc. * Work with Risk Engineering Manager on special projects and developing reports to support Regional Office objectives. * A BA/BS degree is required with coursework focused on Occupational Safety and Health Studies, Fire Sciences, Pure Sciences, Engineering or related subjects is preferred. * 8 years of industry experience in a safety related field and ability to achieve or maintain 1 professional safety certification/designation (i.e.) CSP, CIH, CPCU, CFPS, ARM, etc. * Must have the knowledge and skill to handle all Survey and Service work assignments for all lines of business. * Strong consultative skills. Must work at an advanced skill level when providing service. This would include the demonstration of operational loss analysis reports and accident investigations used to direct services that would eliminate or control conditions that could lead to potential losses. * Must have the ability to complete detailed service plans; provide consultative recommendations in business letters; provide safety training to address losses (i.e.) Ergonomics, Machine Safeguarding, Industrial Hygiene; and have the ability to use the tools and products to provide the services necessary.
