Job Description

The Boeing Defense Space & Security is seeking a Senior, Lead Program Management Specialist supporting Boeing Common Products Group in El Segundo, in direct support of Government and Commercial Spacecraft Products. The Common Products portfolio consists of Satellite Payload and Platform Units (Antenna, Reflector, Feeds, Solar Array, Structures, Battery, Mechanisms, Passive Microwave Devices, Propulsion, Pumped Fluid Loop Systems, Blankets, Harness and Payload Layout). The IPT Lead will drive daily program execution, coordinate and communicate with all required functions from early program bidding thru final flight delivery.

This position is located in El Segundo, CA and in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leads development of the program architecture and top level plans for a program in conjunction with Program leads.

  • Develops/supports program organizational, work structures, top level program and execution plans.

  • Identifies key program level horizontal and vertical integration interfaces between major activities, teams, suppliers, partners and customers.

  • Facilitates the resolution of program/product issues.

  • Supports the program manager in leading program execution by coordinating program metrics.

  • Implements customer and program communication and contact plans as directed by program leadership

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.).

Basic Qualifications Required:

This position requires an active Top Secret-SSBI, U.S. Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

  • Bachelor degree or higher
  • 8-10 years of experience working with Space Flight hardware and its associated processes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project management experience.

  • Experience working with Supply Chain Management.

  • Experience with budget, development of quarterly EAC, program health metrics, earned value, and management of program critical path.

  • Experience working with satellite space-based payloads.

  • Experience with satellite systems integration
