Your manager is in Scottsdale, AZ, but you'll be working from any of our GoDaddy offices.

What you'll get to do...

As Senior Lead Product Designer you will be leading the design efforts of GoDaddy's Presence team. To be successful in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of design systems, strong visual design style, and layout techniques. We are seeking someone that can think through complicated design systems and challenge existing constraints. This person should also have experience executing design projects from conception to production, delivering high-quality pieces on tight deadlines, as well as defining and implementing success metrics.

  • You understand technical limitations, where to take liberties and how to communicate with engineers, product managers, designers, researchers and writers across different teams and offices.

  • Create experiences across multiple touch points, mediums, products, regions and customers without sacrificing consistency and simplicity.

  • Be comfortable concepting, working in low fidelity and high fidelity as well as testing, learning and iterating on designs.

  • Create artifacts that articulate our users needs, product principles and design details necessary to bring something to life with our engineers

  • Your team, other designers, and the larger GoDaddy design community
  • Contribute and Invest
  • In our growing design community as well as customer research and discovery activities
  • Actively lead multiple projects, from start to finish, to meet priorities and requirements in an agile environment

Your experience should include...

  • A rock-solid portfolio that demonstrates skills in user experience and interaction design

  • A deep understanding of what makes an experience good or bad and can communicate why

  • Strong visual design and prototyping skills

  • Self starter who wants to make GoDaddy's applications visually appealing and easy to use

  • Strong understanding of the web, web apps, responsive design and native mobile applications

  • Deep understanding of design tools like: Sketch, Figma, Framer, InVision

  • Expert communicator - able to encourage and sell a vision

  • Experience with micro-interactions and animations

  • Experience with UX writing, micro-copy and why content is important

  • Experience with user research and usability testing methods

  • Experience collaborating with multi-functional teams including product, engineering, marketing and end user groups

  • A passion for small businesses

  • At least 6 years' related industry experience

Identifies root cause for delays/barriers in change order progression and works with change order owners and approvers/stakeholders to find solutions. * Identifies appropriate approvers based on business processes, change types and affected systems, including exceptional cases and complex situations. * Participates in multifunctional projects or small scope projects (product line transfers, integrations, system upgrades, etc.). * Possesses advanced understanding of the functions of Agile PLM, E1 and SAP and how each system supports existing processes. * Creates and implements documentation to process change orders. Key Responsibilities: * Processes Complex Agile PC PLM Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Manufacturing Change Orders (MCOs) following defined procedures if available; develop new procedures as necessary. * Maintains integrity of Bill of Materials (BOMs), Item Master and Item Branch data, as necessary. * Initiates Master Data updates as necessary for complex changes, ensuring completion of corrections. * Investigates root cause of technical issues and communicates with different functions to find results, as necessary. * Participates as a Subject-Matter Experts (SME) in multi-functional projects and/or drives small scopes projects, as appropriate. * Recognizes situations that are not explicitly called out in procedures or are ambiguous (Material Determination, Configured Parts, etc); acts on knowledge of policy and works with others to recommend resolutions or clarification. Drives process improvements where necessary. * Works with sites to integrate site requirements into global model processes. * Drives and communicates updates to data standards, system and processes to affected functions/groups. Applies fundamental understanding of data standards to exceptional cases and complex situations. * Delivers training on new processes/requirements including training functions outside of the Product Data Management team, as necessary. * Serves as a mentor to peers to resolve technical issues with data or change orders. * Has basic understanding of downstream systems (e.g. Siebel, Web, Trax, Hybris, etc.) that may affect internal and external customers. * Has a basic understanding of functions involved in the PLM Processes. * May be required to perform other related duties as required and/or assigned. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: * Bachelor degree or equivalence experience. Applied technical knowledge of Product Life Management and ERP/MRP systems is preferred. * 3 - 5 years of relevant Product Life Cycle Management/Data Management experience. * Advance understanding of New Product Introduction, Changes and Discontinuations. * Builds positive internal relationships in an extended network across many functional areas (outside standard approvers) to support business processes. * Works independently on new and ongoing assignments. * Works with team members to develop new procedures to complete new assignments. * Develops resolutions to technical issues/problems with affected functions. * Collaborates with manager for guidance when/if appropriate.
