What will I be doing?

Reporting to Senior Director, Portfolio Management, the Senior Lead of Financial Systems Design will be responsible for leading and delivering technology related projects for corporate business teams. You will collaborate closely with the business, technology, and compliance teams to drive solution alignment and agreed upon timelines for delivery. Interested? Read on!

  • Engage in solution focused dialogues with cross-functional teams.

  • Establish a leadership role to ensure solutions are understood and communicated.

  • Drive engagement by running meetings, creating design deliverables, and using office tools to facilitate detailed understanding of approach

  • Determine that solutions follow security and audit expectations

  • Understand levels of effort for projects and request additional resourcing where appropriate

  • Take ownership of deliverables and communication without leadership intervention

  • Learn new tools and systems to add value and enable enhanced support

What are we looking for?

The success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:

  • Ability to analyze and map business requirements, processes, and objectives while developing the necessary product modification requirements to satisfy client needs

  • Solid ability to detail solutions using flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts

  • Desire to extend system knowledge to new areas like Coupa, Beeline, Apex, External Billing Portals, Oracle Cloud, Blackline, etc.

  • Outstanding troubleshooting and data analysis capability

  • Patience to understand business problems and pursue the proper path toward resolution

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs, with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence

  • Good understanding of current and emerging technologies and how other enterprises are employing them to drive digital business

  • Confirmed ability to develop and execute a project resource plan

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

  • Nine (9) years in a technical role, including participation in projects delivering enterprise software solutions, isolating inefficiencies, proposing solutions, and developing technical migration plans

  • Nine (9) years of experience with the full project life cycle, including general design, requirements definition and analysis, system testing, and production support

  • Seven (7) years aligning system development to SOX Controls requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials 9.2 (AP, AR/BI, GL, and Project Costing Modules)

  • Seven (7) years of experience as a developer leveraging technologies including PeopleSoft Financials, XML, Oracle DB, SQL DB

It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • BA/BS Bachelor's Degree

  • Twelve (12) years of professional experience in technology or a related field

  • Agile project management training

  • Demonstrated experience in leading a team

This is a role that will help empower Workday on its usability journey and give voice to associates across Capital One. The work will be focused on the design of a comprehensive, cross platform experience, and we seek someone who is customer-centered in their approach, and who maintains empathy for associates at every level. UX/UI designers contribute to projects end-to-end, meaning they are comfortable flexing from research to strategy and concept to delivery. They employ design thinking methods to uncover insights that help inform design decisions. They are excellent communicators and feel comfortable presenting their design decisions to colleagues and stakeholders. We are looking for a user experience researcher/designer to help improve the usability, usefulness, and desirability of the tools all of our associates use to interact with human resources e.g. Workday. First, the user experience researcher/designer will be responsible for stakeholder interviews, SME side-by-sides, designing research plans, and distilling research findings into insights. Then, in collaboration with designers, product managers, software developers, and other stakeholders in the line of business, you will take what you've learned from your research to target areas of opportunity for innovative solutions. Finally, you will ensure an effective communication with users to elevate their experience.
