Senior Lead Engineer IPR

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Review NPD designs, identify potential IP, develop strategy to protect IP across automotive technologies. Draft & file IP applications & subsequently prosecute at various stages towards building a strong IP portfolio (domestic & international). Analyse IP risks and mitigate in a timely manner, build strong IP culture towards meeting business challenges from time to time.

1.Transforming inventions into Intellectual Property - Ability to work independently on IP products and guide, mentor and review other's work. Able to work with COE Heads and Product / Platform Heads to identify IP and Innovation and drive IP strategy. Independently work with inventors across groups, understand invention and drive IP identification and creation.

2.Facilitating innovation & conversion of ideas into qualified Invention Disclosures for appropriate protection in timely manner to build competitive edge, implement best-in-class practices, standaridse and enhance productivity through digitilisation.

3.Evaluate ideas for patentability through inventor (s) interview / interactions against business impact.

4.Knowledge to use Patent search tools like Derwent Innovation, Questel.

5.Passionate to drive training and awareness building needs on IP with all stakeholders.

Experience

8-12 years

Industry Preferred

Auto and/or Farm, R & D, IP Law firms

Qualifications

B.E / B.Tech (minimum); M.S. or M.Tech is a plus (Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics)

General Requirements

Patent Drafting skills, Patent office action response skills

Expertise with market leading IP Analytics tools like Derwent Innovation, Questel Orbit

Indian Patent Agent Certification
