Responsibilities

The Department of Biological and Chemical Sciences at New York Institute of Technology invites applications for a Senior Chemistry Laboratory Technician. This position will be working at the Long Island (Old Westbury) campus. Job duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Manage the day-to-day chemistry labs operations

• Oversee and assist in the preparation of lab materials for all chemistry lab classes

• Develop, update, and assist with the enforcement and implementation of laboratory policies and procedures

• Preparation of an annual chemical and equipment inventory

• Maintain equipment needed in the chemistry labs

• Assist faculty with some of their research needs

• Teaching two chemistry laboratory sections each semester.

Qualifications

The minimum qualification for candidates is a M.S. in Chemistry.

New York Tech considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate experience/expertise, education/training, key skills, geographic location, internal peer equity as well as market, organizational considerations and/or applicable collective bargaining agreement when extending an offer.

USD $63,000.00/Yr.

Maximum Salary

USD $67,000.00/Yr.
