Responsibilities
The Department of Biological and Chemical Sciences at New York Institute of Technology invites applications for a Senior Chemistry Laboratory Technician. This position will be working at the Long Island (Old Westbury) campus. Job duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Manage the day-to-day chemistry labs operations
Oversee and assist in the preparation of lab materials for all chemistry lab classes
Develop, update, and assist with the enforcement and implementation of laboratory policies and procedures
Preparation of an annual chemical and equipment inventory
Maintain equipment needed in the chemistry labs
Assist faculty with some of their research needs
Teaching two chemistry laboratory sections each semester.
Qualifications
The minimum qualification for candidates is a M.S. in Chemistry.

New York Tech considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate experience/expertise, education/training, key skills, geographic location, internal peer equity as well as market, organizational considerations and/or applicable collective bargaining agreement when extending an offer.
