Senior Lab Manager

Position Summary:

The Senior Lab Manager oversees multiple units of personnel in a combined activity within the Medical Center Laboratories. This role manages both the Blood Bank and the Cellular Therapies Lab Program. The Blood Bank is a 24/7 operation and supports trauma patients, organ transplantation, emergent surgeries, stem cell transplant patients, ECMO, massive transfusion protocols, and adult/pediatric ICU patients. The Blood Bank and Transfusion Medicine are inspected by the FDA, AABB and CAP agencies. The Cellular Therapies Laboratory oversees the processing, storage, and characterization of cellular therapy products for patient care. The Cellular Therapies Laboratory is inspected by FDA, CAP and FACT. This role oversees a total of 48 FTEs between the two laboratories.

Position Compensation Range:

• $87,700.00 - $140,000.00 Annual

Shift:

• Day shift; Monday - Friday

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in medical technology or related field required.

Experience: 5 years of increasing managerial/supervisory responsibility in a complex health environment.

Licensure: National certification required, MLS or MT ASCP preferred.
