PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The Advanced Biomedical Computing Sciences(ABCS), part of the Biomedical Informatics and Data Science (BIDS), providesscientific computing, modeling, imaging, and bioinformatics support, engages inscientific consultation and collaboration, and offers training to NCI and NIHscientists and staff.

KEYROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES

This positiondescription does not represent a current opening but may be used to identifycandidates with skills and experience for positions within Leidos BiomedicalResearch that frequently become available. Candidates who express an interestmay be considered for future positions at Leidos Biomedical Research.

Designs and develops software applications.Performs documentation, coding, debugging, testing and troubleshooting throughoutthe application development lifecycle process.

Sr. Java Web Developer will:

  • Work independently and with management todefine requirements, tasks and timelines

  • Develop and maintain program code in adherencewith established coding standards

  • Develop and enhance UI designs andarchitectures

  • Performs unit testing

  • Create and manage technical documentation

  • Report project status regularly to management

  • Manage and maintain code repository

  • Monitor application day-to-day performance andperform program tuning as needed

  • Candidates selected for interview will berequested to provide samples of code snippets for evaluation

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in ComputerScience, Math or Biomedical Science related field from an accredited college oruniversity according to the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).(Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the requirededucation). Foreign degrees must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency.

  • In addition to educational requirements, aminimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible relevant experience

  • Self-starter, motivated toward success

  • Experience designing, developing and delivering

Web 2.0 systems; HTML/HTML5, Java, SQL, MVC, CSS, OOP, JavaScript

  • Demonstrated web page design programmingexperience using a combination of HTML, HTML5, CSS, Java, Ajax and JavaScript

  • Working knowledge of SQL.

  • Ability to identify and resolve cross browserand cross platform compatibility/connectivity issues.

  • Experience in Java programming, including butnot limited to work with core data I/O functionality, SQL database and SQLprogramming, Struts/Spring web frameworks, Remote Method Invocation (RMI) and

Tomcat related functionality

  • Experience developing API's using REST

  • Solid Understanding of object-orientedprogramming, the model/view/controller (MVC) pattern of programming, andapplication programming in a shared-access, subversion/GIT concurrent-useenvironment.

  • Experience developing web-based applicationfront ends utilizing valid HTML, cascading style sheets (CSS), and JavaScript.

  • Experience with open-source libraries such asj

Query and Bootstrap

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a securityclearance

PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS

Candidates with thesedesired skills will be given preferential consideration:

  • Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility andcompliance requirements

ITP is looking for a technical SAP professional with SAP ABAP Application Development (AD) skills to support ongoing enhancement, operations and maintenance activities for our clients. </p><p>ITP ABAP Application Developers require experience designing, developing, testing, debugging, implementing, maintaining and documenting ABAP code in an SAP NetWeaver application environment. Responsibilities include creating, modifying and maintaining RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, Forms and Workflows) on ECC and other SAP systems which support the financial and business management requirements of our client. </p><p><strong>ITP Application Developers require experience extending SAP standard functionality using advanced user interface technologies (including UI5 / Fiori / Personas).</strong></p><p>These responsibilities include creation and maintenance of SAP design and technical documents as well as the testing and validation of application functionality and performance. The selected Application Developer will participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including operations and maintenance (O&amp;M) support.
