Department Overview

The IT Cybersecurity Infrastructure Operations group serves as the centralized cybersecurity technology infrastructure and undertakes a broad range of activities focused on securing PG&E's network, systems and data. The IT Cybersecurity Infrastructure Operations team is primarily tasked with operating and maintaining PG&E's Identity and Access Management and security technology infrastructure to ensure the safe and reliable operation of PG&E's cybersecurity tools and systems within an enterprise-wide setting. We ensure that the deployment of tools as well as their scope is appropriately managed. The department supports projects during the project/software life cycle for PG&E's standard security solutions to ensure that operation requirements are met.

Position Summary

The Identity and Access Management Team supports technology that provides Identity life-cycle, authentication and role-based authorization of access to company-wide IT systems. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical security administration skills with proven operational experience in managing provisioning and access following business processes. This is a "hands on" operational role responsible for Identity Management provisioning exceptions and customer support. The appointee must learn Access control business processes and maintain security practices.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide 24x7 enterprise support role for Oracle Identity Manager, Oracle Directory Server, Business Intelligence, SailPoint IdentityIQ and PKI infrastructure with substantial knowledge and experience to include installations, configuration, tuning, maintenance, capacity planning, patching and upgrades

  • Work alongside IAM Architects to implement Identity and Access Management Solutions

  • Maintain processes required for utilizing an identity management system including: role mining, attestation, account provisioning, federated access provisioning, and others

  • Develop and maintain performance reporting, Key Performance Indicators and analytics for IAM environment

  • Planning and guiding the implementation and application integrations

  • Key resource for post problem reviews - identifying root causes and championing resiliency improvements for all IAM Infrastructure

  • Maintain proactive health check operations including run-book tasks, service monitoring alerts, and comprehensive configuration documentation for specified security tools

  • Maintain and enforce standardized, repeatable administrative and operational policies and procedures.

  • Coordinate and/or participate in various activities, including support on existing infrastructure, on-call responsibilities, clearances, service level agreements, and support documentation and process development as required. Provide clear, consistent and timely communication regarding all job responsibilities including project updates, proposals, operational issues, etc.

  • Follow change management processes to ensure that all products are tested and certified in a consistent manner

  • Provide skill-set knowledge transfer that ensures necessary cross-training of other Security Infrastructure Operations team members

  • Work with business partners on specific needs related to current authentication infrastructure. This may include requests that are outside of current standard. Provide regular communication and documentation on current standards and product life cycle information. Evaluate current documentation process and adapt changes as necessary. This includes reviewing, creating and updating Configuration Manuals, white papers, how-to documentation, installation guides and researching and recommending best practices

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar field; or equivalent work experience
  • 4 years of relevant technical experience

Desired:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of at least two of the following: Active Directory & LDAP, OIM, OS administration, SAP HR, SQL, Saviynt, SailPoint IdentityIQ

  • Proven customer facing skills and the ability to effectively communicate at both a high-level and a technical level

  • MS in Computer Science or Information Security

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

  • Familiarity with PG&E processes, etc

  • Utility Industry experience

  • Scripting experience with SQL or Java

  • Industry IAM certification

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve access issues

  • Demonstrated background working within a complex environment and understanding the implications of regulatory requirements for security and audit as it pertains to identity management solutions.
