The Sales and Marketing Technologies Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for successful delivery of all technology focused Sales, Sales Operations, Professional Services and Marketing projects. Position is primarily responsible for all phases of the demand management lifecycle for releases and projects which includes working closely with business stakeholders representing key internal customer communities to determine priorities and expectations. Sales and Marketing Technologies Senior IT Project Manager, partnering with the technology leaders, will guide and support all assigned members of the IT team and the business product owners organizing, coordinating and driving all programs and projects. The Sales and Marketing Technologies Senior IT Project Manager, working closely with the IT technology delivery teams, will provide strategic guidance and day to day oversight ensuring successful delivery of prioritized workstreams. The ideal candidate will be extremely knowledgeable with the use and implementation of the Salesforce platform with several years of intensive hands-on program / project management experience. We are looking for a proven IT project management professional with demonstrated success in leading highly successful Agile based software development programs with diverse stakeholders and multiple workstreams.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Key IT liaison driving demand for Sales, Sales Operations, Professional Services and Marketing Organizations

  • Create collaborative partnerships and perform stakeholder management leadership activities with customers, vendors and other teams to achieve project objectives.

  • Lead and manage delivery of business stakeholder updates of all active programs to ensure priority alignment

  • Drive comprehensive partnership alliances with IT technology leaders

  • Lead strategic IT programs and complex technology projects

  • Ensure IT programs/projects deliver on commitments

  • Define, plan, direct the establishment & execution of a broad range of technical programs/projects, while balancing the competing demands of scope, time, cost, quality, resources and risk

  • Plan, organize, lead and monitor the activities of the project teams

  • Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports

  • Provide project risk analysis and mitigation planning

  • Maintain overall control of the schedule, budget and scope

  • Ensure projects' objectives/requirements are clear and agreed to by all stakeholders.

  • Develop projects' scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility

  • Prepare and manage deliverables (Project Plan, Risk Plan, Communication Plan, etc.) use deliverables to conduct the project

  • Manage the escalation of issues and submit recommendations to executive steering teams to remediate

  • Track the status of deliverables and any decisions made regarding Project Change Requests and outstanding issues weekly

  • Update appropriate documentation and project plan to reflect changes in requirements and commitments

  • Identify, document and ensure analysis of scope change requests throughout the project lifecycle

  • Utilize company release management, change management standards and procedures

  • Active participation, in and contribute to, the IT PMO policies and procedures

  • Travel as required for successful delivery of initiatives

  • Ability to develop Agile supporting processes and guide the team to adopt and embrace change

  • Ability to quickly establish credibility and rapport with technical team members and product owners through Salesforce knowledge and experience

  • Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate meetings where you will articulate complex concepts

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship building skills

  • Ability to work well in a cross-functional, matrix management environment with a highly collaborative, team-oriented approach to problem solving

  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively with a high level of attention to detail

  • Positive, energetic attitude to achieve great things

  • Provide project risk analysis and mitigation planning


  • 5+ years leading large scale IT project / programs for a global company

  • Must have excellent oral and written communication, presenting, meeting facilitation, negotiation, decision making and problem-solving skills

  • Experience in managing technology projects for Sales, Sales Operations, Professional Services, and Marketing

  • SFDC project management experience delivering technology services or business consulting services as a project manager for a project portfolio with a global footprint

  • Demonstrable history/background in process development, user training and user experience

  • Outstanding leadership and organizational skills able to take on a matrixed team

  • Expert managing multiple, simultaneous projects and programs

  • Excellent problem-solving ability

  • Experience collaborating with and supporting product owners across different departments

  • Demonstrated ability to influence and manage the expectations of stakeholders, team members, management and external partners

  • Must be able to deal with rapid, dynamic changes in a positive and professional manner

  • Must have current Salesforce knowledge on configuration, customization & integration. SFDC Certification a plus

  • Well versed in Agile and specifically Scrum Agile. CSM or PSM certification a plus

  • PMI PMP certification strongly desired
