VIEW JOBS 1/17/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-04-17T00:00 Health care in the United States is an enormous business. Nearly 20% of the US GDP is spent on it ($3 trillion annually) and that percentage is growing. Collective Health can drive better health outcomes at lower cost for our clients (employers who provide healthcare for their employees) and for those employees themselves, but enabling good decisions depends on good data. Health care data is messy at best and deliberately hidden at worst. A core part of Collective Health's strategy is to bring data from disparate sources and provide tools to allow our clients to see the big picture and make better decisions. We're looking for an experienced product manager to help lead our data engineering team and evolve our data infrastructure. What does this mean, practically? * Empower our actuaries, analysts, and other power users to draw insights. And then determine how to automate those analyses across our client base * Determine how we ingest external data, clean and standardize it, and make it available for analysis and client-facing reports * Evolve our business intelligence tooling to enable better decision-making across the company with lower ongoing operational costs * Finally, ensure we are moving the needle for our clients, driving better ROI for their healthcare investments Requirements Experience * Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical discipline * 4-8 years of experience in product management. Also willing to consider people with Eng lead or business analyst backgrounds Product leadership * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal * Strong drive to get things done. Clear track of record of defining target metrics and then moving the needle. * Gather input from many people, then distill it down and prioritize Technical skills * Computer science or related technical background + willingness to dive into technology details * Strong analytical abilities and prior database / data warehouse experience are a big plus Collective Health is a technology company working to create the healthcare experience we all deserve. Founded in 2013, our team of engineers, designers, product managers, and actuaries are redefining the $1 trillion market of employer-sponsored health benefits with data-driven and people-focused products. Our complete health benefits solution helps great companies like Activision Blizzard, Palantir, Restoration Hardware, and Pinterest take care of their people by harnessing the power of design and technology. Based in San Francisco, CA, we're backed by some of the best investors in Silicon Valley including Google Ventures, Founders Fund, NEA, and Redpoint Ventures.
