What You'll Bring:

  • BA degree and/ or 6-8 years of equivalent work experience in Global Strategic Sourcing, Procurement and Vendor Management, Global Procurement experience, Hardware, Data Center and Software experience is a plus.

  • Experienced negotiator having worked in global environments

  • Strong influencing and networking skills in order to work in cross-functional teams across borders and sell the benefits of global deals

  • Knowledge of contract terms and conditions and experience working closely with a Legal team

  • CPSM, CIP certification preferred or any related certification of Procurement.

  • Critical thinking and analytical skills

  • Time management and project management skills

  • Experience in working within a fast-paced, highly matrixed, agile environment

  • Experience with proactively formulating strategies and approaches to achieve project objectives.

  • Experience with managing, negotiating vendor agreements in M&A scenarios including transition servicing agreements (TSAs)

We'd Love To See:

  • Supplier Strategy, plan, source and select new vendors and optimize relationships with existing vendors

  • Negotiate the best available price, terms and meet savings and quality goals, minimize risk and ensure compliance with company standard.

  • Communicate and promptly resolve any product, service and contract issues which may pose a risk or impact to the business.

  • Obtain quotes, prepare price analysis and recommendations on delivery, payment terms and vendor contracts.

  • Coordinate with stakeholders and vendors in expediting process to ensure critical delivery requirements.

  • Track quality metrics; work with suppliers to resolve open quality issues and implement robust corrective actions preventing recurrence.

  • Contract negotiations for global pricing, improved pricing, language terms that meets company needs and avoid risk.

  • Develop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiencies

  • Provides support to develop/drive global sourcing strategy for software

  • Remain current on market trend data for commodities in your area of responsibility

  • Working independently in managing stakeholders, the sourcing process and vendor management components of the category

The Sr. Buyer is responsible for managing the day to day operations of the procurement team to ensure the timely purchase and receipt of food products in a cost effective manner. The Sr. Buyer is also responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with all current and new suppliers. Oversee food purchasing team: * Manages a team consisting of junior buyers and produce buyers who are responsible for generating purchase orders of food for the site * Coordinates day-to-day operations of the food purchasing team, including managing ordering process for multiple menu cycles by balancing lead times, forecast variability, and multiple purchase orders * Anticipates and forecasts inventory demand based on seasonality and capacity to execute timely, accurate orders with Home Chef vendors and communicate to Warehouse team * Utilizes Home Chef ERP system to cut purchase orders and track in-house inventory * Monitors and problem-solves any problems with late deliveries, shortages, or quality problems * Works cross-functionally with site stakeholders to solve problems relating to food procurement, shorts, and shrink and to ensure inventory levels match targeted ranges * Works directly with Warehouse team to determine best product delivery dates * Manages the team's efforts to hit food cost targets, maintain food inventory levels, and to avoid waste * Leverages procurement data to proactively seek out means of improving food costs and minimizing waste * Mentors and develop the capabilities of the junior food procurement team members Manage supplier relationships: * Acts as the primary contact for key suppliers * Strengthens relationships with key suppliers through active engagement and regular communication * Ensures suppliers are adhering to contract terms and order specifications, including ensuring receiving windows of time are continually met, financial terms are satisfied, and volumes fulfilled * Works with corporate team stakeholders as necessary to support third-party supplier contract management, negotiation, and onboarding of new suppliers * Balances vendor expectations with Home Chef expectations in regard to forecasting, and work through any discrepancies Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, ability and/or other characteristics needed for this role.
