Aimco is seeking a Senior IT Auditor for our internal audit department in Denver!

As the Senior IT Auditor, you perform individual internal I.T. audits as part of our total internal audit plan. Your responsibility includes developing internal IT audit scope, performing internal audit procedures, and preparing the internal audit reports reflecting the results of your work. Your oversight includes coverage of functional and operating units and focusing on integrated IT, financial, and operational processes. Part of your work is also to close out any outstanding internal audit issues.

  • Your deep understanding of internal control concepts and experience in applying them to plan, perform, manage and report on the evaluation of various business processes, areas, and functions

  • Your ability to work independently, with limited required direction and guidance, and provide appropriate direction to other internal audit project Team Members

  • Your strong verbal and written communication skills, effectively presenting to peers, external auditors, and management

  • The way you exhibit the leadership skills needed to sell ideas and obtain management consensus for constructive change

  • Your understanding of internal auditing standards, COSO and risk assessment practices

  • Your significant understanding of the technical aspects of IT, accounting and financial reporting

  • How you demonstrate your background showing leadership and excellence in how you perform multiple projects, working with varying team members, and creating long-lasting relationships

Your background should include:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting, computer information systems, finance or equivalent, with a master's degree preferred.

  • At least two to four years' related IT or internal auditing experience within a large corporate environment

  • Certification as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) preferred.

A ROLE YOU WILL LOVE The Senior Auditor is primarily responsible for planning, executing and reporting on operational, financial and regulatory related audits in accordance with the annual audit plan. In addition, the Senior Auditor will perform special projects, assist in the annual internal audit planning process, and build relationships within the business. Primary Accountabilities * Risk-based Audit Planning that is focused on protecting and enhancing the value of the businesses of Computershare (CPU) and CPU's clients. * Deliver high quality, well controlled, independent and objective Audit Execution, supported by comprehensive audit files. * Effective Audit Program Management to ensure the timely delivery of audit plans and mitigation of delivery obstacles. * Communicate effectively and confidently throughout the Computershare US business lines with regional business heads and line management. * Manage compliance with Computershare's (CPU) global policies, procedures and processes, including CPU Internal Audit methodology. * Be a supporter of change, including identifying enhancement opportunities and challenging the status quo, to improve the operation of the CPU Internal Audit function. * Other duties or tasks as assigned by management.
