OBXtek currently has a Sr. IT Architect who will support the US Treasury.
This Senior-level Information Assurance/Security Engineer/Architect position will be in support of the Department of Treasury in a fast-paced, high-energy program to transform and modernize software systems through the re-engineering of business processes to meet futuristic customer demands while leveraging best IC industry practices. Through this effort, we will develop the next generation system (infrastructure and cloud as required). Candidate will have familiarity with IC systems within government organizations. Responsible for full system development life cycle, migration of legacy systems to the cloud (as needed), and the re-engineering of legacy processes into a business-driven enterprise solution.
Experience in strategic planning as it relates to internal infrastructure, cloud environments and a hybrid internal/cloud infrastructure with external 3rd party IC cloud infrastructure support.
Experienced in systems engineering, architecture, and computing solutions in support of the government.
The candidate must have at least seven years-experience building enterprise architecture roadmaps and demonstrated experience as an architect on many large projects. Experience in architecting, designing, developing, integrating, and managing complex software and systems solutions is a must. The candidate will be required to conduct design and analysis applying a multi-disciplinary approach to deliver next-generation technology and services to cloud platforms.
This position requires experience in multiple cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, OpenStack, etc.), as well as experience in design, implementation and or operation of cloud infrastructures (compute, network, storage) operations. A successful applicant shall meet/exceed the qualifications below. Required Skills (include but not limited to): 7+ years professional experience required in the following technical skills:
Analyzing business requirements to develop technical network solutions and their framework; Performing network modeling, analysis, and planning; Developing test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines for various projects and Writing functional requirements/specifications documents. Building enterprise architecture roadmaps and demonstrated experience as the architect on many large projects. Experience in architecting, designing, developing, integrating, and managing complex software and systems solutions.
Experience contributing to technical working groups and Integrated Project Teams (IPT) Researching/implementing Cloud-based solutions. Working knowledge of the following technical concepts: Cloud offerings from platforms such as AWS and Azure, including a strong understanding of the differences between IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
System/Application migration and modernization, including concepts such as virtualization and containerization. Demonstrated proficiency with the following skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Strong project management and organization skills.
Ability to establish, implement, and enforce appropriate IT standards to meet business requirements. Collaborating with a variety of other architecture roles within the organization
Bachelor's Degree in IT or related scientific field.
10+ years relevant Security, Systems and/or Intel Community experience
Must hold a current Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
You must be a US Citizen and all immediate family members and all members of your household must be US Citizens
Background in Intelligence Community (IC) computing environments and application security requirements; Familiarity with federal terminology and organizational structure. Experience in systems administration and/or networking in a data center environment.
Candidate will have software and systems experience encompassing project management, test management, systems engineering, enterprise architecture, software products integration, full system life cycle development, and technical support. Must be familiar with implementation, management and maintenance of the enterprise life cycle. Possesses experience in resource management, technical project analysis, and budget management as required.
Experience working in an Agile environment as Project Manager a plus. Multiple projects following various iteration schedules based on project needs and support.
Experience with all all project life-cycle phases including project initiation (transition), project planning, project execution, project monitoring and control, and project closeout. Candidate must coordinate activities across teams spanning multiple contracts/tasks to achieve results and experience managing technical teams including subject matter experts, technical analysts and subcontractors. Experience integrating cross discipline teams and demonstrated success helping customers achieve cost savings and increased operational efficiency a plus.
