Responsibilities

The Senior Investment Analyst participate in all aspects of the LATAM investment process, including evaluating investment opportunities and reviewing LATAM and other non-dollar portfolios and other cash management processes. Prepare risk reports such as VaR, CVaR, Stress Tests and security modeling, as well as quarterly risk management reporting, for management and regulatory authorities.

Iterate between different variables and scenarios and perform calculations that are to be run on spreadsheets leveraging knowledge and application of programming languages. Conduct investment accounting and research and present investment recommendations to more senior team members. Supervise the investment accounting process for US GAAP of the Latin American portfolios.

Ensure proper attention to key risks and issues, including environment/ social/ governance ("ESG") concerns. Collaborate with team members and other departments regarding regulatory issues affecting the Latin American subsidiaries. Utilize investment management software to book trades and manage investments.

Participate in investment department projects and tasks to support the group's overall mission. Perform processing, record control and settlement of transactions, as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration or related field of study.

  • 5 years of experience as an investment analyst or related professional work experience.

  • Must have Chartered Financial Analyst certification.

  • Must have work experience with each of the following: (1) Financial theory, including portfolio management tools, fixed income security features, such as valuation of bonds, risks of investing in bonds, bond sectors and instruments, corporate credit, financial analysis; (2) Local regulations and currency market laws for LATAM countries in order to comply with the limits and other requirements established by regulators regarding the portfolios of the subsidiaries; (3) PAM accounting system and knowledge of US GAAP accounting rules that apply locally in each country where the corporation operates through its subsidiaries; (4) investment/portfolio management operating system Aladdin from Blackrock; (5) Understanding of risk reporting (VaR, Stress Tests, duration reports, and security modeling) and experience with coding for data analysis and process automation; and (6) Knowledge and application of programming languages in order to iterate between different variables and scenarios, and to perform calculations that are to be run on spreadsheets.

The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
