The Senior Auditor will be responsible for assisting with the general oversight of internal audit functions for the corporation. The Senior Auditor will participate in ensuring that the annual audit plan is achieved by performing the required testing and review of business controls and operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan and perform operational, financial, or IT internal audits under the direction and supervision of the Vice President
Develop audit programs and testing procedures relevant to risk and test objectives
Identify and communicate issues raised, offering recommended solutions relevant to business and risk
Prepare formal audit reports of audit activities
Assist in supervising staff auditors assigned to engagements, providing guidance and review of deliverables
Provide assistance to the Vice President in Sarbanes Oxley compliance work
Assist Vice President with annual planning
Assist in performance of annual Risk Assessment
Ensure adherence at all times to all applicable department and professional standards
Travel required (up to 35%)
Perform other duties/responsibilities as requested by management

Bachelor's degree (Accounting) from an accredited institution required
Five to seven years prior internal or external audit experience required
Audit experience for a public company is preferred
Professional designation such as CPA, CIA or CISA required
General knowledge of auditing standards and SOX 404 is required
Advanced skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, & Word required
Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills required
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills required
Must be able to work independently
Must be able to occasionally lift up to 10 lbs
The work environment is a quiet, professional office. Additionally, the department must adhere to strict deadlines. As a result, overtime is required during certain critical times. And, flexibility is important, as the need to work overtime is not always anticipated in advance.
