Job Summary:

Working under limited supervision, leads and performs a variety of tasks which include operational, financial, and compliance audits to add value and improve an organization's operations.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead and perform audit testing as assigned. Understand and apply audit methodology practices.

  • Work closely with the Audit Manager in development of the audit scope, objectives and development of testing attributes.

  • Perform risk assessments of department or functional areas.

  • Summarize and analyze data obtained for evidence of deficiencies in controls, duplication of effort, fraud or lack of compliance with laws, government regulations and management policies or procedures.

  • Provide clear, concise and appropriate documentation of work performed, as well as issues and observations identified using oral and written forms of communication.

  • Assist in providing data for compilation of reports for Meta Audit.

  • Research and consult on audit services in a wide range of bank product and service lines.

  • Lead and participate in business and departmental projects that require analytical and risk assessment skills.

  • Stay abreast of emerging issues involving internal audit, changes to federal and state banking laws, and rules and regulations that could impact the organization.

  • Assist in the development of less-experienced staff through the review of audit work papers and providing timely feedback.

  • Complete annual required educational requirements.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and three to four years related experience and/or training.

  • Professional certifications such as CIA, CFSA, or CPA preferred.

  • Knowledge of bank regulatory compliance, policies and procedures, preferred

  • Familiarity with banking internal audit processes.

  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

  • Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily with interruptions and/or distractions.

  • Employees may be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week and other than normal business hours, such as holidays, evenings and weekends as business demands.

  • Relocation assistance provided to Sioux Falls, SD or 30-50% travel

VIEW JOBS 3/17/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-06-15T00:00 Job Summary: Senior Internal Auditor Audit Practices is responsible for assisting the Audit Practices Manager in providing leadership to the Audit Department in respect to how work is conducted the practice of internal audit. This position will report to the Audit Practices Manager and help in ensuring maximum productivity in the department by assisting in the maintenance of staff scheduling for the audit projects, performance of quality assurance reviews over completed audits, and assistance in the gathering of documentation, information and statistics for analysis of metrics and data for reporting purposes. Job Responsibilities: * Assists the Audit Practices Manager in maintaining and communicating staff schedules and availability in relation to Internal Audit Projects and deadlines. * Organizes and assists the Audit Practices Manager in leading meetings with Audit Leadership and business units. * Assists in compiling quarterly Enterprise Executive Risk Committee and Audit Committee reports as well as Internal Audit metric reporting. * Performs Quality Assurance reviews over completed audits to ensure compliance with the Institute of Internal Auditor Standards and internal standards and compiles Quality Assurance review results and reports for manager. * Gathers information and documentation requests made by regulators. * Performs initial review of Internal Audit Issue Management business closure requests for secondary review by the Audit Practices Manager. * Creates and maintains Internal Audit progress reports and status reports to identify and analyze trends and provide transparency to Internal Audit leadership. * Maintains Internal Audits agreements with Third-Party Service Providers. * Updates Internal Audit policies, procedures and charters. * Maintains membership status to professional organizations for the audit team. * Trains new employees on audit specific content. * Performs other duties as assigned as this is a newly created role. Required Qualifications: * Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or the like required. * Three to four years of financial industry audit experience. * Strong understanding of Institute of Internal Auditors Standards. * Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. * Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office.
