Identity Access Management (IAM) is divided into two business lines: Identify Services and Access Services. The primary services supported are the Master Person Index, Provisioning, Authorization Management Service, Single Sign-On Internal/ External, Veteran Health Identification Card, and Compliance Auditing Reporting.  

9th Way Insignia has an opening for a Senior Integration Engineer to work in support of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information and Technology (OIT) on the Identity and Access Management (IAM). This high-profile position serves as Insignia’s primary point of contact and leads the day-to-day contract operations, ensuring that the IAM technical scope is delivered within budget, schedule, and quality requirements. Professional Level 

The Senior Integration Engineer position aligns as Level 2 Engineer at 9th Way Insignia.  An Engineer, 2 has a good understanding of the software development life cycle and can take on work without much direction majority of the time. Performs multiple engineering-related tasks in various assignments within the project and firm. An Engineer, 2 has broad knowledge of engineering procedures and assists in the resolution of complex problems.  An Engineer, 2, has strong technical skills and background, a knack for learning new technologies, and a blend of good problem-solving and innovation needed to resolve a wide variety of technical production challenges. 

Functional Job (LCAT) Information

A Senior Integration Engineer must have experience in the creation of strategies and plans for integration of multiple IT systems/subsystems into an operational unit, ensuring full functional and performance capabilities are retained.   The integration engineer must be experienced in introducing new hardware or software into a new or existing environment while minimizing disruption and mitigating risks. 

Responsibilities:

  • Create technical requirements and process flows for development, infrastructure, and support teams. 

  • Implement integration plans. 

  • Investigate and determine appropriate integration solutions. 

  • Maintain a catalog of integration solutions. 

  • Assist with integration designs and implementations, working with consultants. 

  • Oversee all Integration Services engineering processes. 

  • Define integration reference architecture for solutions landscape. 

  • Provide patterns and guidance to feature teams for effective use of integration technologies. 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, project management, or related field. 

  • 10+ years of proven experience. 

  • Cross-platform Systems Administration. 

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to issue resolution. 

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 

  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality results. 

Salary Range 

The salary range for this $77,096.24 - $113,236.56 

9th Way Insignia’s range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.

Location This position is remote. 

9th Way Insignia reserves the right to adjust work location based upon mission requirements.
