Main Duties/Responsibilities

As an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer, you will have the opportunity to help our clients accomplish their automation goals cost effectively, on time and with the top quality they expect from us. Working with other members of our team, your will have the opportunity to assist in delivering cutting edge automation services for our client's municipal water/wastewater treatment processes and facilities. During our time with us, you will provide full life cycle of SCADA implementation, from conceptual planning, design, and configuration, through installation, testing, start-up, and post commissioning services. You will work with multidiscipline teams on a range of project sizes; from single pump stations to some of the largest facilities in the country. You will lead teams developing P&IDs, control network design documents and installation requirements.   • B.S. degree in an engineering discipline required

  • P.E. license in at least one US state required

  • 15 to 20 years of experience in instrumentation and control system related tasks including instrument selection, control system design, specifications and drawing development, start up and commissioning required

  • 10 to 15 years of experience in water and wastewater market

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required

  • Fluent in Spoken English required

  • Experience with configuration, troubleshooting and startup of PLC control systems, Human Machine Interface (HMI) software and communication networks preferred

  • Radio Telemetry system design experience preferred

  • Adept at interpersonal relationship building, conflict resolution and participating in diverse team preferred

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, and strong data analysis & technical problem-solving skills

Process loaner and consignment instrument and system returns: cleaning and disinfection of GPS system components, completing required forms, updating the inventory control system, performing functional checks, and restocking. Initiate the processing of those instruments that do not satisfy the quality standards (Non-Conforming instruments). Refer complaints of service or product failure to appropriate departments. 2. Perform service and repairs on instruments and GPS systems and provide disposition of obsolete or worn instrumentation in accordance with established procedures. 3. Stock instrument storage bins and system components in designated storage areas. 4. Assist in the filling of orders. 5. Provide on call services as necessary. 6. Understand and follow all departmental SOP's. Document and report any process deviations to team leader. 7. Understand and comply with all department safety policies and procedures. 8. Download surgical data from the systems returning from the field and upload them to the network. 9. Verify the key indicators (e.g., RMS values) of the Advanced Surgical Technologies Products including ExactechGPS components. 10. Analyze data from inspections, performance tests, and maintenance repairs and prepare report on the findings. 11. Set-up the configuration parameters of the Advanced Surgical Technologies (ExactechGPS) prior to field deployment in order to match the requirements from the end customer. 12. Ensure and maintain cross-compatibility between the components of the Advanced Surgical Technologies (ExactechGPS). 13. Perform work related tasks of defined preventive maintenance to Advanced Surgical Technologies (ExactechGPS) equipment while ensuring traceability. 14. Know and apply the Quality System and any appropriate Federal and International standards. 15. Assist and support other employees, teams, and sales personnel as necessary. Job Requirements: Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Associate and/or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution preferred Experience: * 3 years experience preferred for this job.
