Role Overview:
The Global Learning and Development department is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing global education programs across the organization for learning audiences ranging from WeightWatchers Coaches to corporate people leaders.
The Senior Instructional Designer is a key member of the team responsible for designing and developing learning interventions in support of our organizational priorities. These responsibilities include partnering with L&D leadership and stakeholders to align on appropriate learning solutions, as well as effectively managing the development of high-impact global learning solutions. In addition, you will leverage your understanding of the business and adult learning to partner with stakeholders to diagnose performance gaps and identify appropriate training interventions. You will embed a culture of learning and be a champion and role model of our company values.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead cross-functional global initiatives, managing the development of robust learning solutions in partnership with stakeholders and L&D leadership.
Training needs analysis
Project management & collaboration with wider stakeholders to ensure successful output of learning campaigns & value adding to the business
Define the project strategy and design direction, fostering collaboration on both ideation and implementation with the L&D team and contractors when needed
Adopt a consultative approach to engage stakeholders and subject matter experts in the instructional design of high-standard learning solutions
Design impactful and engaging learning solutions adopting a blended learning approach across in-person, virtual, and digital formats, ensuring assets and resources are fit for purpose for all of our international markets.
Demonstrate an in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design.
Take ownership of design, development, and project management to ensure the L&D processes are followed, and timelines are met.
Develop and deliver Train the Trainer sessions for trainers and L&D Market Leads as needed.
Work with the Program Manager, Global L&D to manage program files and resources for our international markets.
Distill trends from global learning evaluations and drive enhancements to future learning designs.
Identify key external stakeholders to provide quality instructional design work on a contractual basis.
Determine design standards and principles for the entire team to adopt for consistent approach
Quality assurance of design work keeping in line with global strategy & brand guidelines.
Adopting Innovative, new and emerging technologies and trends (AI)
Requirements:
College Degree, ideally in an adult learning field.
Minimum 7-10 years experience in the learning and development field
Strong consultative skills in needs analysis and performance improvement to ensure appropriate learning solutions based on business needs.
Strong written, communication, and design skills.
Experience designing in Articulate Suite
Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments simultaneously
Strong written and oral communication skills
Comfortable presenting training design to L&D Managers and L&D specialists.
Requires strong interpersonal, relationship building, and influencing skills
