Our client, a top independent biotech company, is currently seeking a

Senior Instructional Designer for a 3+ month contract with likely extension to June 2019. This position located in RTP, NC.

Overview & responsibilities for the position below;

We are pursuing several process improvement initiatives in Product Lifecycle Management and Master Data Management based on Oracle Agile PLM and Oracle e-Business suite R12 systems.

This is a global project that requires frequent collaboration with stakeholders in Europe and in the United States. This project impacts many people and teams as it relates to systems and processes that are used daily to manage the end to end supply chain.

With the process and system changes, training and documentation will be required for changes in existing processes and for new processes. As part of this effort, we are looking for an instructional designer to develop or update novel and engaging training materials, both instructor-led and online courses.

  • Gather stakeholder input, analyse SOPs and system functionality as basis for training development

  • Update existing eLearning modules for Oracle Agile PLM based business processes

  • Update existing classroom training modules

  • Adjust classroom training modules to support virtual / remote delivery

  • Develop new training modules for processes that are not covered in existing modules

  • Develop reference materials such as quick reference cards and job aids

  • Collaborate closely with project team (process owners, technical writer, IT)

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor Degree coupled with 5+ years experience and proven track-record developing end-user centric training modules for system-enabled business processes. Must have both experience creating e-Learning as well as classroom training modules. Strongly seeking experience in Life Sciences and for IT/technology supported processes. Strong experience developing eLearning content, using Articulate Storyline, Camtasia or similar tools. Proven ability to gather unstructured information from stakeholders and existing documents, and use this as basis to develop clear and engaging training content.

Key Responsibilities * Hands-on design * Creative maker on packaging, print collateral, experiential events, and other projects across several brands. * Develop ideas, concepts, original designs, and other creative solutions as needed on projects. * Receive creative briefs and reviews for clarity prior to kick-offs. * Support the ACD Design to translate the strategic intent of briefs into design direction for the team. * Client presence * Build and maintain relationships with the brand studio members and serve as a key voice on assigned brands for print & packaging design creative. * Process and organizational * Manage and deliver work with schedule and budget support from project and account managers. * Contribute ideas and recommendations for ongoing organizational improvements (i.e. process and tools). * External focus * Maintain a connection to the external creative industry and stay up to date on current trends in commercial creativity. * Keeps a constant eye on emerging talent to bring into the agency (vendors, artists, production companies, individual designers, etc.). Minimum Qualifications * Years and Types of Experience * 8 or more years of experience in design with emphasis on packaging design. * Agency experience required * Packaging experience includes developing and designing graphics and product forms. Experience designing for the shelf experience, full-line redesigns, and club/palette presentations. * Print experience goes beyond packaging to include in-store displays, point of purchase, etc. * Understanding of print production process including designing for a variety of packaging formats and substrates. * Experience and knowledge in developing brand standards and identity systems * Work in the consumer packaged goods categories required * Skills and Abilities * Expert designer with a portfolio of best in class work. * An expert eye for color and typography * Expert knowledge of Adobe CS (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) * Expert creative presentation skills * A passion for creativity and design * Tapped in to design trends, design movements and the design community * Education level/Degree * BFA or MFA in Design or equivalent certificate Preferred Qualifications * In-house and/or consumer packaged goods experience is highly preferred * Some experience managing and mentoring junior designers * Experience with multi-channel campaigns (print + digital + content + experiential) * Creative operations experience in a medium to large organization * Digital experience with websites, emails, social media * International experience a plus * A human-centered approach to design philosophy, design-thinking experience * Art direction of product photoshoots in studio and on location * Design for integrated campaigns across print, digital, and experiential. * Digital production and workflow.
