The SeniorInstructional Designer is responsible for the successful analysis of trainingneeds as well as the design and development of educational training materialsfor the Sales organization. Thisindividual will analyze assigned projects to determine learning objectives anddesign and develop materials for delivery methods including instructor-led,virtual synchronous, and asynchronous environments. He or she will have proficiency in rapidinstructional design tools (software) and processes (theories and models) aswell as adult learning theory and experience writing learning objectives and assessmentsusing multiple levels of Bloom's Taxonomy and Kirkpatrick's Model. The Senior Instructional Designer will buildand maintain strong partnerships with the Sales Training team as well as variouslevels within Corporate and Sales to develop and provide technologicallyinnovative, engaging, and instructionally sound learning deliverables for our

Sales organization.

Key activitiesof the Senior Instructional Designer include the analysis of learning needs, design,and development of effective and engaging in-class and virtual learningmaterials focused heavily on business development, product knowledge, processand tool use, and reinforcement. Inaddition, he or she will be responsible for coaching and mentoring InstructionalDesigners on design best practices, innovation, and industry standards.

Position Responsibilities

Analyze, design and developtechnologically appropriate, innovative, and engaging sales training materials

  • Analyzethe training need to develop accurate and measurable learning objectives

  • Effectivelyuse technology to create innovative and engaging learning materials

  • Partnerclosely with project team and training lead to ensure business needs are metand training strategy are aligned with learning deliverables

Maintain knowledge of adult learningtheory and industry standards

  • Consistentlyseeks to improve learning materials through innovation, advancements ine

Learning industry, and other opportunities for improvement

  • Attendsconferences and participates in speaking engagements as a thought leader withinthe industry

Serve as leader and mentor to other

Instructional Designers

  • Developand manage the peer review process

  • Implementand manage templates and standards

  • Atlantabased position

  • Abilityto travel as needed up to 25%.

  • Bachelor'sDegree required; Master's Degree in Education, Instructional Design,Instructional Technology, Educational Psychology, or related field preferred and/orsufficient on-the-job experience

  • 5 years of Instructional Design experience

  • Provenexperience analyzing needs, designing, and developing learning deliverables forblended, virtual, self-paced, and in-class delivery

  • Strongeye for visual appeal and graphic design; including design for learning

  • Experiencewith and ability to create educational audio and video, including scriptwriting and storyboarding

  • Demonstrableadvanced communication skills (verbal, written, presentation)

  • Demonstratedproficiency with graphic design for learning (documentation, presentations,guides, self-paced modules, etc.)

  • Proficiencywith technology suites such as MS Office, Articulate Storyline, CamtasiaStudio, Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Illustrator,InDesign, Photoshop), WebEx, and Learning Management Systems

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Instructional Design - 80% * Creates learning objectives, design documents, storyboards, and other learning design deliverables * Ensures learning solutions are aligned to desired outcomes and business needs * Coordinates with internal and external subject matter experts to obtain required job and task information * Develops learning solutions using project-based templates when appropriate * Knows standard eLearning development tools and software (Articulate Storyline) * Partners with Learning Strategy Senior Manager to confirm needs analysis and instructional strategy * Tests and debugs deliverables for quality assurance Project Management and Communication - 20% * Collaborates effectively with peers, leaders, and business partners * Project manages deliverables and proactively communicates milestones * Possesses strong writing and communication skills * Reviews and edits material against accepted THD standards for instructional quality and soundness * Assists in the interviewing, selection, and onboarding of contractors and associates NATURE AND SCOPE This position reports to Manager of Learning. This position has 0 direct reports. ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS Environment: Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Travel: Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. Additional Environmental Job Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must be eighteen years of age or older.
