Senior Institutional Research Analyst, Park University, Parkville, Missouri

Duties: Responsible for providing professional support in the collection and analysis of institutional data.

Assignments vary in size and frequency, ranging from ad-hoc to scheduled ongoing projects. Serve as the primary responder for ad hoc reporting requests and data extraction requests from members of the Park community. Assign responsibility for and oversee accuracy of ad hoc reporting requests and data extraction requests within the office (Institutional Research Specialist, Graduate Assistant, or Student Worker). Assist the IR Specialist and stakeholders throughout the University with reporting requests.

Prepare data sets for response to internal and external data requests (including requests for federal, state, and accreditation reports and proprietary surveys and files for the National Student Clearinghouse). Serve as primary manager for data for state-related compliance requests.

Provide data to the compliance officer as requested. Serve as secondary knowledge expert for reporting on Financial Aid for IPEDs and for collections utilizing the Common Data Set.

Serve as primary manager for Cognos report-writing software accounts. Work with Information Technology Services (ITS) on trouble-shooting. Identify data set errors; collaborate with other departments to ensure errors are identified and corrected; recommend changes to data collection, maintenance, and use to improve data quality and integrity.

Requires: Master's degree in Information Systems and Business Analytics, information systems, information technology, business, data science, or related, plus at least 2 years of related experience.

In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems and Business Analytics, information systems, information technology, business, data science, or related, plus at least 3 years of related experience. Related experience must include performing data analysis and interpretation related to federal reporting requirements associated with institutions of Higher Education. Experience with Microsoft Office suite; advanced experience utilizing Microsoft Excel. Experience working with SQL in student database (such as Jenzabar, Cognos, or Oracle). Experience working with large data sources, extracting and manipulating data related to enrollment management. Experience working effectively in a fast-paced environment with quickly changing priorities. Remote work is permitted, but must live within standard commuting distance from office location to attend on-campus meetings as needed.
