The Corteva Agriscience, Agriculture Division of DowDuPont has an exciting job opportunity as a Senior Infrastructure Technologist located in Pittsburg, CA. The purpose of the Infrastructure Technologist role is to provide operational and project support to site infrastructure. This includes defining and leading efforts on his own in addition to assisting the site facilities manager.
Due to the varied scope of infrastructure work and the wide range of responsibilities, the infrastructure technologist has to have a wide variety of skills to handle all of the work that comes his way.
Act as the liaison between project teams and the department.
Provides operations support for the manufacturing rep during project definition, design, and construction
Represents Infrastructure at project team meetings.
Provide constructive input on the review of design drawings and documents as they are created.
Provide support on issues relating to layout, safety, and maintenance considerations in preparation for and during project construction.
Coordinate construction and demolition activities for infrastructure work.
Provide input on job procedures, operating discipline, isolation, checklists, and start-up procedures related to infrastructure.
Support plant start-up and return to operations for maintenance and projects.
Provides operations functional input into the identification and evaluation of the business opportunities.
Facilitate completion of maintenance inspections on existing equipment as needed
Provides operations functional input and evaluation of the design to ensure optimal operability
Perform daily permit writing and work oversight for ongoing activities and projects in infrastructure.
Communicates project status, risks, deviations and other significant project developments to the key stakeholders.
Demonstrate visible and proactive safety leadership on the job, includes having or developing a good working knowledge of all safety standards.
Provide guidance and direction for infrastructure contract staff.
Act as a mentor and trainer for new employees and contractors.
Act as a back-up for the infrastructure facilities manager when managing work and vendor relationships.
Flexibility to work overtime, including weekends, as needed to support work activity.

5 years of experience in plant operations, maintenance, facilities or construction project roles.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Word and Excel, and have the ability to learn new systems quickly.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills are required.
Must have strong multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills.
Demonstrate leadership skills - inspire others and lead them through influence.
A self-starter who can identify, prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Must be able to do the following with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Must be willing and able to work in such environments wearing safety equipment, such as earplugs, goggles, and steel-toed shoes.
Must be willing and able to wear a respirator.
Must be willing and able to work in such environments with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
Must be willing and able to climb stairs/ladders and working high off the ground.
Must be willing and able to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
Must have a current, valid US driver's license.
A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
Background supporting projects is preferred.
Knowledge of OSHA Safety Standards and Permit writing preferred.
A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
Associate's degree in relevant field OR 4 years military experience preferred.
