The Senior IT Infrastructure Systems Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operational maintenance, support, and upgrades of IT infrastructure systems and software. Additionally, he or she will monitor and maintain Windows Active Directory, email, physical and virtual servers and cloud based resources, providing support and recommendations to enhance performance, security and capacity of corporate and cloud based systems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage and administer Microsoft Windows Active Directory, Group Policy and MS Azure assets

  • Support MS Exchange and Office365 systems, to include system configuration and software updates

  • Administer and maintain IT Infrastructure systems to include EMC Avamar Data Protection MS Intune mobile device management, Windows file and print servers, Isilon NAS storage, Symantec Endpoint Protection and other security systems

  • Support and maintain physical servers and other infrastructure systems

  • Monitor and perform maintenance of corporate and cloud based systems

  • Assist in the administration of Citrix virtual desktop environment and VMware virtual infrastructure systems

  • Provide real-time system status reports and historical status across all infrastructure systems and applications

  • Make recommendations to enhance system performance, security, and capacity

  • Perform system software upgrades and test and deploy software updates and security patches in test, development and production environments

  • Attend Change Advisory Board weekly meetings as an advisor to system changes that impact Infrastructure capacity and availability

  • Work directly with vendors and Project Management team to coordinate planning, design, installation, and support\upgrades of new and existing technologies

  • Assist in the maintenance and configuration of network systems and protocols to include TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and VLANs

  • Participate in process improvements, including process definition, measurement analysis, and implementation of controls

  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals

  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill

  • Other duties as required and assigned

A Successful Candidate Must Possess:

  • High school diploma/GED required; Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent strongly preferred

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience administering Enterprise IT systems required

  • Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification required and MCSA/MCSE preferred

  • In depth knowledge of Windows Server, Windows Desktop, Azure Active Directory, Group Policy, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and VLANs required

  • Strong working knowledge and experience using Power Shell for Windows and Exchange

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Office 365 platforms is strongly preferred

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work directly with team members at all levels of the organization required
