The City of Garden Grove invites qualified candidates to apply for the position on Senior Information Technology Analyst for the Information Technology Department.
The information Technology Department consists of 4 units: Systems Development, Systems Support, Graphics, and Reprographics/ Mailroom. This position is located in the Systems Development Unit, which is responsible for maintaining enterprise and specific applications for all departments in the City. The Senior IT Analyst is responsible for planning, implementing, configuring, and troubleshooting the City's information system, along with managing various systems development projects.
The ideal candidate will possess strong programming experience in varied languages, great interpersonal and group facilitation skills, experience managing large system development projects, capability to evaluate and resolve programming bugs, and good customer service skills.

Example of Duties
Under general supervision, the Senior Information Technology Analyst assists with planning, implementation, configuration, and overall operation of the City's information systems; coordinates assigned activities with other departments and divisions, outside agencies, vendors, and the general public; and performs related work as required. These essential duties include:
Bachelor's degree with major coursework in information systems, information technology, computer science or other closely related field.
Principles and methods of systems and procedures analysis, programming and networking; project management best practices; capabilities and limitations of information processing equipment; customer service techniques and principles.
Reason logically and clearly with abstract data; prepare, maintain and present effective verbal and written reports; work cooperatively with team members, city staff and other government agencies; effectively supervise staff; commit to providing quality customer service.
California Class "C" driver's license is highly desirable.
