Right now, we areseeking a Senior Information SecurityAnalyst, Application Development based at Western Union's Global Headquarterslocation in Englewood, Colorado and soon to be Denver, Colorado.

Are you looking for anopportunity that utilizes your application development experience while alsohelping you focus in application security? In this role, you will be the subject matter expert for encryptionsolutions within the Information Security team. You will support the WUencryption strategy by working directly with application developers and othervarious IT development teams. You'll bethe driver for encryption solutions that range from traditional on-prem tocloud to hybrid implementation: with the focus on encryption of data-at-restvia application layer encryption.

  • Partner with application development teams to provide guidance on thedevelopment of application layer encryption

  • Perform code reviews and certification, at times writing the codeyourself

  • Serve as a technical expert for enterprise security applicationdevelopment

  • Manage, review and build key management systems

  • Assist with strategic initiatives around future security infrastructureand tools such as cloud security, data encryption, and key management

What you will need tosucceed:

  • We recommend at least 3years of application development experience with development and code review using

Java, and .Net languages and at least 6 years of related experience

  • Familiarity with multi-tieredweb application development, APIs, and microservices preferred

  • Bachelor's degree is required; Bachelor's/Master's degree related to computerscience, information systems, or equivalent experience preferred

  • Industry developmentcertifications preferred, e.g. Oracle Certified Professional, Java Programmer,MCSD, MCPD

  • Industry security certificationspreferred, e.g. SANS (GSSP-Java, GSSP-.NET), ISC2 CSSLP

  • AWS certifications preferred,e.g. AWS Certified Developer Associate, AWS Certified Security Specialty,

  • Strong experience with web technologies (scripting, SSL, HTTP/S)and their security requirements

  • Experience with SIEM, event correlation technologies preferred

  • Experience with Linuxoperating systems preferred

  • Experience with Gemaltosuite - Key Secure ProtectApp and AWS KMS

  • Experience with AWSNative encryption

  • Experience developingwith AWS encryption SDKs

  • Experience with allversions of Microsoft Windows, Active Directory and LDAP

  • Experience withencryption key management and life cycle for data at rest

  • Experience with various network, DNS, web, VPN and perimeterprotection technologies preferred

  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, network packets analysis, firewalltechnology, IDS/IPS technology preferred

  • Knowledge of the typesof encryption keys and their implementation

  • Familiarity withregulatory encryption requirements: PCI, GDPR, NYDFS

  • Ability to collaboratewith technical and vendor personnel, cloud service providers.

  • Ability to communicatetechnical security requirements to business units and implement security plans.

  • Ability to program in shell / scripting languages, SQL query andmanipulation would be a plus

  • Must be availableoccasional off-hours on-call to support developed applications

Job Duties and Responsibilities The focus of the Cyber Security Threat Analyst is to distinguish, interrupt and suppress threat actors on enterprise networks. To execute this mission, the Threat Analyst will use data analysis, threat intelligence, and cutting-edge security technologies. Working within the Security Analysis and Operations Team at Dish Network, the Cyber Security Threat Analyst is responsible for detecting and assessing cyber security events and incidents across the enterprise environment. Threat Analysts will also participate in developing processes, procedures, training, etc. for new technologies. The candidate must have a curious investigative mind, an interest in information security, and the ability to communicate complex ideas to varied audiences. * Examine alerts from various security monitoring tools, perform triage & determine scope of threats; escalate as necessary. * Develop and analyze dashboards and reports to identify potential threats, suspicious/anomalous activity, malware, etc * Coordinate with End user computing groups that are exhibiting unusual behavior (i.e. excessive firewall denials, Okta logins from unusual geo-locations) to have them assist in troubleshooting/remedying the issues. * Assist with ServiceNow tickets relating to whitelisting & user internet access by researching the domains being requested for security/reputation, liaising with users for additional details, and passing the tickets along for implementation in the proxies; will soon be getting additional training from IT Security staff to do the implementations myself. * Manage various Proof-of-Concept implementations for threat hunting platforms/tools to evaluate if they would be beneficial for the organization by providing additional visibility into the enterprise environment and increasing incident response time. * Provide Tier 2 & Tier 3 support as needed Skills - Experience and Requirements Required * 3+ years' experience in Information Security * Experience with data analysis * Experience with SIEM * Experience with cyber threat intelligence Desired * Experience with EDR * Prior experience working with in the following areas: * Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT) * Computer Security Incident Response Center (CSIRC) * Security Operations Center (SOC) * The following certifications are strongly desired: * Security+ * GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) * GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA) * SANS Institute/GIAC * ISC2 Dish Network Corporation Englewood CO
