Provides repair service, calibration, certification, preventive maintenance and equipment upgrades on all assigned medical equipment. Specializes on maintenance of assigned radiographic, CT, MRI, linear accelerator and related equipment both at the Medical Center and remote locations contracted through Shared Resources.

Additional responsibilities are for the development of preventive maintenance procedures, completion of maintenance documentation, and staff training and development in the areas of radiological and diagnostic imaging. Utilizes computerized maintenance management software to document maintenance performed.

Position is full-time, 1.0 FTE, Day shift, Monday-Friday, core business hours, and must be available for on-call coverage per business needs up to 1/3 of the time.

Required qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training and Two-year vocational course in an electronics related field. Or

Associate's Degree in Electronics related field.

  • Coursework/Training and Additional formalized advance training is required on radiographic, CT, MRI, or linear accelerator equipment, normally acquired from manufacturer training programs.

  • Coursework/Training and Completion of formalized courses in basic and advanced diagnostic imaging.

  • Upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role.

    Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information.

  • 7 years of repairing, calibrating and maintaining diagnostic radiographic, CT, MRI or nuclear accelerator equipment.

  • Must have experience working with similar in-house imaging systems or same experience working with a major imaging equipment manufacturer (i.e. General Electric, Siemens, Philips, Picker, Toshiba).
