For the right candidate, this position offers the opportunity for significant professional growth and the potential to collaborate with local and national teams to grow our Electrical and Process Automation Services (EPAS) group. In this role, your responsibilities will include managing electrical and I&C projects, and collaborating with client development teams with the goal of supporting proposal and scope/fee development. We are looking for candidates who have a proven track record of selling, managing, and executing industrial and municipal electrical, I&C, and other water/wastewater work. The role requires the ability to integrate and apply Brown and Caldwell's service offerings and talent to help our clients solve their most challenging issues. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Managing projects with an electrical and/or I&C focus, or serving as technical lead for multi-discipline projects

  • Producing effective and accurate written documents, reports, and technical memorandums

  • Collaborating with client management teams to identify, pursue and win I&C services opportunities

  • Collaborate with a national team of technical experts and the national discipline lead for the EPAS group

  • Supervision of local staff within the EPAS group

Position Requirements

  • B.S. in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering)

  • Professional registration in Colorado or the ability to obtain registration within 6 months

  • 10-15 years of experience as a design engineer in the municipal water/wastewater and/or private industry with five years as project manager

  • Proven record of developing new clients and client relationships

  • Proven record of working and maintaining relationships with existing clients and projects with the ability to deliver those projects successfully, profitably, and to the client's satisfaction

  • Ability to discern new markets and to develop business in those areas in collaboration with the client development team

  • Knowledge and experience with business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, and coordination of people and resources
