Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 6 years of consumer product design experience with a focus on visual and motion design.

• Experience managing projects involving cross-functional and cross-team stakeholder groups.

• Experience in one or more of the following disciplines: illustration, animation, motion graphics, creative direction, prototyping.

• Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.

• 3 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization.

• 2 years of experience leading design projects.

• Demonstrated ability to design, create, and implement animations using After Effects, including optimization for web and mobile using Lottie.

Photos is one of the most sought after products at Google and is looking for both client-side (web and mobile), with server-side (search, storage, serving) and machine intelligence (learning, computer vision) Software Engineers. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Leverage principal contributors to explore concept development to influence product, a point-of-view around visual style, and product commitments.

• Create aesthetically excellent work that is true to the Google brand spirit.

• Design at scale through a strong systems approach.

• Elevate the visual and motion design of Photos while accounting for the design details of building a product.

• Partner with User Experience Designers, Product Managers and Engineers to define, challenge, and solve complex problems to enhance interactivity and delight users.
