Senior Human Resources Specialist: Become the Newest Member of the VF Family

As part of the VF Human Resources team, this position will work collaboratively to provide general HR support to the Appleton, Wisconsin, team.

How You Will Make a Difference:

  • Drive employee experience and engagement by coordinating and executing all company events, activities and programs. Solicit input from employees and leaders; partner with external vendors; communicate with employees; track and manage the budget.

  • Support all community initiatives and manage the local sponsorships and donations; manage the employee volunteer program and execute company wide service days.

  • Responsible for all location-wide communications. Create and distribute the weekly company newsletter, obtaining input from the business units and brands; Partner with external vendor on management of social media pages (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram), creating relevant content to drive traffic.

  • Facilitate the new hire orientation and onboarding of associates. Create employee onboarding plans for associates and work collaboratively with managers for coordination and successful implementation.

  • Actively serve on various committees such as the safety and wellness committees. Implement inclusion and diversity initiatives and programs in support of VF's I&D strategies and objectives.

  • Provide a high level of administrative support to the HR department. This includes responsibilities such as running and analyzing workday reports, managing record retention, maintaining employee files, managing the tuition reimbursement process, processing all invoices and payments through Coupa & Concur.

  • Support the HRBP, Talent Acquisition and Talent Development on special projects as needed.

Skills for Success:

Years of Related Professional Experience: 1-3 years

Educational/ Position Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or Human Resources preferred or equivalent experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office software and HRIS systems, preferably workday

  • Ability to manage projects

  • Strong people and communication skills

  • Ability to speak comfortably in front of large groups of people

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality required

  • Attention to detail and able to prioritize and multitask

  • Approachable and Positive Attitude

Special Physical and/or Mental

Requirements:
  • Able to work in excess of 40 hours per week, when necessary
