SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCES (HR) REPRESENTATIVE, School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (SHASS), to provide direct human resources support to the assistant dean for finance and administration and director of human resources. Responsibilities will include providing support to the school's administrative officers and hiring managers on a variety of HR functions, including guidance on processing academic and nonacademic appointment paperwork; providing advice on MIT personnel policies and procedures and school guidelines; serving as a liaison with MIT's HR/Payroll Service Center and as parking coordinator for SHASS; assisting with serious search efforts; designing and building templates, tools, reports, and other work forms to streamline processes and procedures; working with key stakeholders to outline project objectives, execute action steps, and oversee ongoing maintenance updates for the SHASS Dean's Office intranet; tracking and updating faculty sabbaticals and other leaves, reappointment scheduling, and promotion and tenure schedules; coordinate all aspects of the rewards and recognition program; managing diversity predoctoral call for applications; and performing other assigned duties.
