The Senior Human Resources Manager will report to the Director of Human Resources and will be responsible for overseeing, organizing, and directing human resources activities across multiple manufacturing plants, with a primary focus on the Owensboro, KY plant.
The role entails managing various HR functions including change management, recruitment, compensation, regulatory compliance, training, employee relations, and performance management. The Senior HR Manager will serve as a business partner to Plant Managers, guiding employee relations and site communications, and will actively participate in leadership meetings. The position requires staying updated on federal, state, and local laws and ensuring compliance with company-wide initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advice and counsel to management on HR matters, balancing company interests with employee advocacy.
- Lead employee relations activities, including conflict resolution, policy interpretation, and positive employee relations initiatives.
- Drive change management initiatives and foster employee engagement through effective communication strategies.
- Oversee the development and execution of employee training and development plans.
- Manage recruitment needs, employee retention programs, and succession planning efforts.
- Ensure HR policy and legal compliance, staying abreast of industry trends and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or related field required; HR certification preferred.
- 7-10 years of HR management experience in a manufacturing environment, overseeing 100+ employees.
- Must have experience working in a non-union manufacturer
- Strong understanding of HR principles and practices, including employee relations and compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites and ADP Vantage; familiarity with HRIS systems.
Travel: Up to 15% travel required.
