The Larson Group Peterbilt, one of the largest award winning dealer groups in the country, is looking for an experienced Senior Human Resources Generalist to join our successful organization. The potential candidate will be responsible for assisting the Vice President of Human Resources and the HR Manager with administering Benefits, Payroll, Reporting/Data analysis and maintaining the HRIS. This position will provide advanced level guidance and counsel to department managers regarding personnel issues and company policies. This position is sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill and business objectives.
Support and administer roll out of HR related initiatives.
Develop, maintain and continuously improve/streamline HR processes.
Conduct data analysis of retention, engagement, turnover data, etc. to identify potential areas for improvement, address concerns with Vice President of Human Resources and senior management.
Monitors workers' compensation benefits.
Work closely with management to improve work relationships, build morale and increase retention.
Coach managers on various issues within the realm of HR; will travel to establish an HR relationship.
Contribute to the design and delivery of HR related communications (Benefits/OE emails, policy changes, intranet blogs, HRIS homepage milestones and announcements, etc.)
Responsible for professional development by attending HR meetings/conferences/webinars.
Stays up to date with current news, trends, etc.
Demonstrates an in-depth understanding of HR principals, regulations, trends, and best practices to ensure TLG is compliant in related areas.
Train, coach, and lead HR Generalist Team.
Manage and maintain the integrity of the data within the HRIS.
Manages upgrades and implements new HRIS functionality to adapt with changes to the HRIS.
Oversee HRIS user activity and educates users on new or previously unknown features of the HRIS.
Create and run custom reports and set up reoccurring reports for incorrect/missing information
Work with HR Generalist to correct and prevent data inaccuracy.
Assist in all Generalist functions including but not limited to, Employee Life Cycle, Recruitment, Training, Benefits, FMLA leave and Payroll.
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field. At least 6 years of Human Resources experience with a demonstrated generalist career progression. Minimum of 3 years' experience managing a HRIS. Must have advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, as well as solid research, analytical and problem-solving skills. PHR certification or the eligibility to obtain is preferred.
