The Senior Human Capital Management Systems Analyst is a senior-level position within the HCMS structure. This position partners with HR directors and their customers to analyze work process design and flow, improve processes and leverage the return on technological capabilities.
The Senior HCMS Analyst builds project plans, ensures adherence to project schedules, maintains a systems orientation and can work effectively with peers to set technology priorities and conduct long-term planning. This position also serves as a technical point-of-contact for multiple assigned functional areas and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. The Senior HCMS analyst also leads HCMS upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects as assigned.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead configuration and workstreams for multiple HCMS modules including Core HR, Absence Management, Benefits, Compensation, Learning, Payroll, People Experience, Recruitment, Reporting and Talent Management.
Leads and or participates in optimization projects to help business users and Centers of Excellence to realize full potential of Workday. Independently manages projects and initiatives from scoping to deployment.
Leverages strong understanding of cross-functional configuration between Workday Modules to deliver comprehensive technical solutions.
Serve as the technical point of contact ensuring data integrity, system security and maintenance, system modifications, report writing, document maintenance, system audits and recommendations for process changes.
Analyze, maintain and troubleshoot tier 2 and 3 issues including working with vendors to resolve system issues. Perform analysis into root cause of problems and resolve as appropriate.
Able to use integration tools such as EIB, Solution, and Object Transporter to facilitate data conversion and migration of configuration.
Interacts directly with external vendors to ensure integrations are functioning currently and partners to resolve issues and develop new integrations.
Provide advisement to HCMS Analysts and Specialists.
Partner with customers to develop analytics needed to support business needs. Prepare regularly scheduled reports and ad-hoc reporting as required. Provide HR team with reporting writing guidance.
Perform audits of data to preserve its integrity and accuracy. Regularly review user procedures/workflow to ensure system features are being fully utilized. Identify features that may improve efficiency.
Assist with providing strategic direction for HRIS data management, reporting and service delivery. Analyze needs of the organization and recommend process and/or technology solutions.
Partner with COE Leaders and Directors to assess system upgrade impacts and develop comprehensive plan to implement changes.
Partner with IT Department as needed. Communicate business requirements to IT for projects as required.
Maintains awareness of current trends in HCMS with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies. Examines trends in information systems training, materials and techniques. Participates in user group meetings/conferences.
PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Sitting for up to 7 hours per day, 3 hours at a time, frequently users fingers for typing, data entry, etc. Frequent use of hands; uses upper extremities to rarely lift up to 10 pounds.
Occasionally stoops, bends or reaches above shoulder level. Hearing as it relates to normal conversation, seeing as it relates to general vision, near vision, peripheral vision, and visual autonomy.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in computer science or other related field required
Workday Pro Certification(s), SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), and Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications preferred
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
5-7 years of experience in the development and support of Human Capital Management Systems required
Previous significant experience serving as workstream lead on HCM implementation or optimization engagements from design to deployment; must demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive, confidential situations and an ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization required
Effective organization and time management skills, the ability to multi-task and work independently; proficient with Microsoft Office required
7-10 years of experience in development and support in Human Capital Management Systems preferred
Previous experience and Workday Pro Certification in: HCM Core, Security, Compensation, Benefits Administration, Time Tracking, or Payroll preferred
