Serve as point person within HRIS team responsible for providing Human Resources system administration, including business process configuration, integration point development, and data management. Main point of contact with internal HR, HR Shared Service Center, IT staff, business leaders and HR system vendors to effectively meet the HR technology needs of the organization, ensuring HRIS team is involved and aligned appropriately. Acts as point person for HRIS team with regard to partnering with global counterparts to represent North America business needs within the larger global HR SSC organization.

Will oversee varied and complex tasks associated with the support of Roche's Human Capital Management (HCM) system, as well as other HR related systems, i.e. case management system. Will ensure coordination across HRIS Analysts serving as subject matter experts and will ensure support to the HRIS function with a focus on business processes and application support activities including release management, application optimization, system role assignments/access, and incident & problem resolution, gathering requirements and specifications from users, creating specification documents, work with HR and IT teams to configure enhancements in system, and serves as linkage to IT for technical enhancements and investigations.

This position will utilize knowledge of HR and Payroll/Benefits business practices, processes, and systems in order to ensure collaboration between HRIS team, IT, HR and Payroll/Benefits partners for the identification and resolution of issues, and evaluation of potential system enhancements.

This position is responsible for ensuring support and maintenance of the HCM system, in addition to other interfaced systems supported by the HRIS function. The position ensures HRIS Analysts serve as technical/functional points-of-contact for HR users and related business groups. Works with HRIS Director on resource planning and allocation across projects and daily operations.

A seasoned professional with wide-ranging experience. Deals with diverse and often times complex issues, where analysis may require in-depth evaluation of many factors. Exercises judgment in evaluating methods and may determine criteria for obtaining solutions. May coordinate the activities of other employees. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in area of expertise as well as some key contacts outside area of expertise.

Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions.

The Opportunity:

  • Collaborate and partner with business, HRIT, local and global stakeholders to support strategy, design and processes that deliver North America objectives. Includes analysis, process harmonization, improvements, system innovations, enhancements, functionality. Works on more complex topics and ensues coordination across HRIS team

  • Responsible for troubleshooting support and resolution for HR Servicing as appropriate for system related issues (i.e. Workday, Neocase/AskHR)

  • Partner with local and global teams on the implementation of new systems and initiatives across HR SSC.

  • Support the development of training content and delivery as needed. Responsible for training and coaching team members on system support/usage and best practices, ensuring right skillset and mindset are realized within the team.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Human Resources or related field

  • 5+ years' experience in a HRIS Analyst, HR Business Analyst or similar role, or 3+ years in a senior level HRIS, HR Business Analyst or similar role

  • Prior HRIS system support experience required

  • Demonstrated ability to take responsibility for all work activities, behaviors, decisions, results and follows through on commitments

  • Strong attention to detail, analytical, problem solving skills

  • Experienced in gathering and documenting end-user requirements

  • Experienced in developing and executing end-user training

  • Experience in creating 'use case' test cases and organizing and executing system testing

  • Strong familiarity with HR processes and functions, including end-to-end processes for recruiting, on-boarding, compensation, employee benefits, training and payroll

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated excellence in customer relations and building partnerships at all levels within the organization

  • Demonstrated ability in prioritizing multiple projects and activities

  • Knowledge of related HR federal / state / local laws and regulations Workday HCM or cloud based systems experience highly desired

  • Hands-on experience in configuration experience and setup of new functionality with enterprise HRIS and release management, preferably with Workday, highly preferred

  • Experience in resource capacity planning preferred
