Eaton's EPG CPD PCD Power Components Division division is currently seeking a Senior HR Generalist.This role is based out of our location in Horseheads, NY

This role will provide information and guidance to internal/external personnel regarding policies, procedures and practices relative to employee benefits, staffing plans, labor relations and other Human Relations issues within a union and non-union environment.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $80250.03 - $117700.04 a year.

What you'll do:

  • Provide information and guidance relative to the implementation and administration of HR policies and programs to support the Eaton Horseheads facility.

  • Coordinate external recruitment efforts: posting of requisitions, onsite interview coordination, post interview support including offer and onboarding.

  • Process of new hires including announcements, pre-hire tasks, conducting orientation programs and creation/maintenance of training plans.

  • Kronos Timekeeping Administrator for facility

  • Process all Payroll related items - liaison between Corporate Payroll and Plant.

  • Monitor and implement all hourly job changes, rates changes and step progressions.

  • Implement all yearly wage changes for hourly workforce as per local contract agreement.

  • Assist in preparation of HR/EHS metric data.

  • Administer Contingent Workforce Management Program.

  • Administer internal job posting/bid process

  • Leave program administrator for Eaton Horseheads Facility - liaison without Vendors to manage programs

  • Advocate and market HR programs driving culture change towards Eaton Philosophy Work Practices.

  • Coordinate and schedule bi-yearly Employee Survey process.

  • Support Collective Bargaining Agreement compliance.

  • Coordinate employee recognition and engagement events, local Eaton University Seminars, Health & Wellness programs.

  • Support plant catering events and office supply ordering.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Horseheads, NY will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Labor Relations from an accredited institution

  • Understanding of local labor agreement.

  • Understanding of Corporate Compensation and Benefits Plans.

  • Training in Corporate Human Resources database, Oracle HRMS.

  • Knowledgeable across the multiple phases of the Human Resource spectrum.
