As the Senior HRBP at Stash, you will act as a strategic partner to our entire organization. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will build and run people programs that drive performance, maintain and enhance employee engagement and support development, while also helping to drive People Ops. We are looking for a Senior HRBP with a strong work ethic, and passion for managing the details, who thrives in an ever-changing startup ecosystem and is willing to contribute wherever necessary.

What you'll do:

  • Develop, and execute people strategies to complement or enhance our existing programs focused on onboarding, performance management, employee relations, learning, compensation & benefits, and culture

  • Amplify our unique, high-performance culture and elevate our talent brand

  • Partner with the leadership team to understand business needs and provide HR guidance that drives and informs key decisions

  • Lead ER and performance management

  • Develop and empower senior and middle managers to take accountability for the People needs and challenges within their organizations

  • Oversee talent management initiatives, including performance management, career pathing, and compensation processes

  • Support individual and team effectiveness. Advise and consult client groups on organizational design, team effectiveness, and integration.

  • Support talent review and succession planning processes, while ensuring performance goals are aligned

  • Drive implementation and adoption of key People analytics with the goal of optimizing Stash's programs and culture

  • Providing policy interpretation, counseling and training for employees and managers on programs, policies and procedures; Ensure fairness and legal compliance.

  • Support and develop diversity and inclusion programs.

  • Analyzing HR metrics and data (turnover, etc.) for the business to show talent trends and provide insightful analytics to leaders; Run employee surveys and partner with groups to develop action plans.

  • Support HR Ops to ensure all processes are strong end to end.

What we're looking for:

  • 5-8 years progressive Human Resources/People Ops experience, preferable in tech, fast paced, highly engaged environment

  • Demonstrated background evaluating and implementing People programs and initiatives across HR generalist functions including building culture, onboarding, compensation planning, benefits, performance management, learning, and employee relations

  • Superb communication skills, business acumen, and coaching, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment

  • Experience quickly diagnosing challenges, strategizing solutions and implementing change

  • Quick and active learner

  • Results/action orientation with strong planning and execution skills

  • Strong familiarity with government compliance regulations and best practices/protocols

What will you do? * You will act as the key Human Resource point of contact, trusted advisor, and business partner to a highly engaged, supported workforce for dedicated client groups * You will advise people managers on people related strategy and decisions as aligned with business goals (including organizational design and planning) * You will maintain ongoing rhythm of performance management programs working with clients throughout goal setting, individual development, talent reviews, and performance reviews * You will assess employee development needs and make recommendations for supportive tools * You will work to evolve our compensation administration, and total compensation analysis to ensure meaningful rewards strategies * You will partner with leadership on employee development and employee relations, query and generate reports, conduct analyses and provide insights and recommendations * You will consult with and provide guidance to managers, executives, and peer professionals to help identify, assess and deliver training needs and opportunities * You will provide guidance and strategic direction on organizational design to ensure that Medium is building the people infrastructure to sustain the organization for the long-term * You will be a coach and mentor that relates well with others, listens effectively and can build rapport with a diverse workforce -- all in the spirit of helping employees at all levels develop * You will work collaboratively with the People Ops team to own key moments in our employees' lifecycle, which may include onboarding and offboarding and important moments in between. * You will be experienced working with diverse teams in order to build an environment that promotes equity and inclusion You have: * A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field; or equivalent experience * 5+ years experience in a fully-functional HR Business Partner role in a rapidly growing, high-demand, high output role * Proven success in driving projects forward successfully to completion * Strong desire to help others and intellectual curiosity about people and organization issues * Effective influencer skilled in listening and communicating clearly * Excellent problem solving capabilities and judgment; ability to make sound decisions independently * Comfortable operating in a dynamic, changing environment * Ability to create and maintain strong, professional relationships at various levels of organization * Skilled in effectively managing sensitive and confidential communications and materials * Experience working with and resolving employee relations issues At Medium, we foster an inclusive, supportive, fun and challenging team environment.
