The Government Programs Consultant position is a virtual position opportunity within the United States. Provides expert workflow analysis, product implementation, coding auditing, and coding and documentation improvement services to the Department of Veterans Affairs and other Federal health care customers primarily and may support non-government services from time to time.
Perform data gathering from a variety of sources to address problems and answer questions relative to the engagement. Interact with clients to gather the information through interviews both in person or through on-line technology. Conduct audits of records, systems or staff as needed for the engagement.
Evaluate data for reliability, accuracy, and completeness. Analyze, interpret and synthesize information reliably, thoroughly, and accurately. Develop key assumptions, findings, and supporting analyses in a clear, concise, and effective manner.
Implement a wide variety of Nuance products and modules. Develop and or provide education related to the consulting topic or product implementation to include VERA, CDI, Coding, Work Flow Analysis, Encounter Forms, and Compliance to name a few.
Provide a written report of your work ensuring accuracy, thoroughness, consistency and reliability. Meet both management and client determined project deliverables and deadlines.
Assist account executives with sales calls to promote consulting opportunities.
Sets agendas for multi-week, multi-discipline projects.
Provides presentations to Sr. Level Management.
Provide configuration services and coding/billing/CDI/compliance education on relatively complex scenarios.
Participates in team projects that support goals and objectives.
Other duties as assigned from time to time.

Ability to travel extensively required (up to 75%).
Actively participate in industry trade associations to advance knowledge required.
Ability to use a laptop PC, various MS software applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other various software applications as required.
Ability to write business correspondence, software and procedural documentation.
Ability to verbally respond to inquiries, questions or problems from clients.
Excellent writing, editing, interpersonal and communications skills.
Professional appearance and presentation required.
Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in handling and disseminating information.
Ability to handle multiple projects with rapidly changing priorities and deadlines.
